very clean and well maintained staff very friendly and helpful would recommened to anyone
take a taxi to faro beach 5 mins away some lovely restaurants and shops. Also there is a nice walk you can take along the sea front.
We particularly liked the following aspects of our stay;
Superb friendly staff
Spotlessly clean hotel everywhere with nice grounds
Excellent views from the terrace/pool bar
Quiet location
Shortish walk to the beach (20 mins)
Lovely spa facilities
Wonderful breakfast with cava and fresh orange juice
Great pools
Only dislike;
Main course at dinner slightly disappointing, lack of choice, not 4* food.
Excellent hotel for a short break. We stayed bed and breakfast. The food was excellent both for breakfast and lunch; around the pool. The staff are fantastic and so helpful. The hotel is near enough for everything eating and entertaining but far enough to be quiet and peaceful. The beach is a decent walk but far enough to work off all that fantastic food. The only negative I would say is after one particular late night the pool and patio cleaners were working unheathily early and could be heard from the room. Overall a very good experience. We will be returning and I would definitely reccomend this to others.
Try the Yumbo centre especially Valentines and Dali's. Valentines for fine dining and Dali's for the food and ambience. Walk across the dunes to Maspolamas and try one of the sea front restaraunts for lunch.
A great little hotel in a superb position overlooking the golf course. There are sea views and the whole complex is a delight. A real find highly recommended.
Buy cigarettes and alcohol in the local supermarkets not at airports. Duty Free at airports is a scandal and a disgrace
The Dunas Vital Suites, was an excellent small hotel. Only about 74 units in all, all around a pool complex, half of which was heated and half not. The pool bar was good but wasn't open in teh evenings. The resturarunat was expensive and didn't give much choice, however the proximity to the Yumbo Centre and other areas meant there was plenty of good food. The Dunes of Maspalomas were a couple of minutes walk down the road accessed via the Rui hotel walk. The Thalasotherappy centre at the hotel was excellent, but it wasn't made clear that it was free to guests to use, the brochure given mentioned a charge but this wasn't the case. Only major drawback was that there wasn't a bar in the evenings so no where to meet others and was disappointing at both Christmas and New year. Most of the guests at the hotel were in the over 30s age range, 50% single sex couples. Golf Course was overlooked by the pool area although the entrance to this was a bit away.
Los Porches restuaraunt a couple of streets away was excellent.
Palmitos Park is a great trip out they do a Bald eagle flying display and if you want to see the real Island go on a Zig Zag Tours jeep safari.
My original room was noisy both from the terrace above it and the machinery underneath the pool next to my room - I complained about my lack of sleep because of the noise. The hotel offered me a suite at a reduced rate and I accepted it. The suites are really excellent; I would have liked an offer to book one of them.
The breakfast each morning had variety and was superb.
The transfers were similarly excellent. Stylish cars and totally reliable.
The Thomas Cook flight was not to my liking. Leg room was almost non existent and the seats uncomfortable. The time of my flight home was inconvenient and I would have preferred a day time flight.
Your company's organisation was excellent and I would certainly use you again.
Upon arriving at Dunas Vital Suites Hotel we were presented with a warm welcome at reception. All the information we needed to know about our room was clearly explained, including directions, the mini-bar and safe. The room was very spacious and very clean. We were even given our own dressing gowns that could be used in the spa...
Including in our stay was full use of the gym and spa at the hotel. This turned out to be very impressive with staff who were more than happy to explain special treatments happening on the day. We experienced using special salts in the sauna and honey in the steam room to cool and cleanse your skin after a day of sunbathing. Also, at an extra cost you could have other beauty treaments that are at average cost.
The pool and sun terrace area was very well maintained with stunning views. There was two large pools and a bar which searved lunch and dinner. However, the bar staff where not very friendly and didnt seem to like English people! But this didnt bother us as we ate out every evening as there are so many different places to explore. Our stay included breakfast and this certainly was a feast! Lots of choices and everything is freash. You can even enjoy a glass of bubbly on the house! :)
Overall the hotel was everything we could have wanted. I would defferently recomend it to those who enjoyed being spoiled. It is only a 15min walk to the beach and 5min walk to bars and shops. Excellent quiet location with hussle and bussle down the road.
This is a great hotel and daily access to the spa is included in your stay so a really great package. Food is very good too and the suites are excellent.
Just a 10 minute walk to the dunes of Maspalomas and even less to the main shopping and nightlife of Playa del Ingles
The Dunas Vital Suites hotel was a great choice. Staff were friendly and helpful, suites were very spacious, the pool had great views and the spa area was fantastic, we had a fabulous time there. Lots of restaurants and the Yumbo centre were about 5-10 mins walk and the nearest beach was about 15min.
Minor cons is that the furniture looks a bit tired and the pool bar food is really not that good (luckily there are a couple of pubs and a supermarket nearby).
Would definitely come back to the same hotel.
Make sure you try the spa (free for guests).
For a drink and a laugh, Ricky's Cabaret bar in the Yumbo is a great option.
For food, La Candela in the Yumbo is good.
Don't go to the dunes with flip flops!
I was looking for a relaxing holiday and this hotel was great for that. Set in a nice quiet location, overlooking the golf course, the pool setting was perfect, with an outside bar/restaurant. Room was comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Also enjoyed the spa facilities which were pretty impressive. Overall very happy, I'd recommend it.
This is the 2nd time we have stayed at this hotel. We returned because of the excellent spa facilities, beautiful rooms and the quiet pool (its almost like having your own pool). For the last holiday here, we booked into a Junior Suite; this time we booked a twin room overlooking the golf course. The room was lovely but we were woken up by sunbeds being moved about around the pool which was directly over our room. As we are not early risers we asked if we could change rooms. We were moved immediately to a Junior Suite at half the extra cost. The hotel is quite close to the Yumbo centre and all its entertainment but its also quiet enough as it overlooks the golf course on one side. We booked on a bed and breakfast basis this time as last time we were half board with dinner being waiter service with just two choices of starter and main course which we thought was a little limited. It is mainly an adult only hotel although children are welcome; there have just been a couple of children both times we were there. We will definitely be returning to this hotel again.
Ricky's Bar in the Yumbo centre - it's a must - great fun for both straight and gay people.
would give hotel 3 1/2 stars not 4. - Bedrooms need refurbishment.
Give the hotel 3 1/2 Star not 4. bedroom decoration in need of refurbishment.
Lovely stay, hotel was excellent location away from all the bars & clubs so very quiet but which meant a long walk to the beach. Hotel is very small but very friendly & clean, Thalasso pool could do with a bit of TLC some things were not working, breakfast was adequate, didn't try any evening meals. Swimming pool was very cold, we had excellent weather which heated up the pool a little! We did get food poisoning from a local bar be careful where you choose to eat, would recommend a short 4 euros taxi ride to Faro Boulavard (maspolomas) shopping area, lovely restuarants & shops
Faro boulavard shopping area & restaurants a very good place to go

At all costs avoid eating your meals in the yumbo centre. Go for traditional tapas where possible. You can find it if you look.
Unfortunately I never made it to Dunas Vital Suites, my plans changed at the last minute, I headed to mainland Spain 2 days later!!
