We were offered a room on the 12th floor (smoking room) as all the other double rooms were fully booked. Thought it might be very smelly but it surpriced us. Big and nice room. Very clean and complete with a mini fridge. There were 2 basins in the bathroom and there was a speaker connected to the bar near the pool. so you can actually enjoy the music while you're in the bathroom. very relaxing!!

Top Tip Try the Paella near to the Gate on the way walking to the Cathedral.

The customer service at this hotel is excellent. The hotel is located next to a metro stop and several bus stops. It is also connected to a large shopping mall

Top Tip El Corte Ingles has inexpensive local wine and cheese and is next to the hotel

hotel in great location, opposite the turia park, and right near metro station which is very handy. a 20 min walk to the old part of city through the park.
hotel very clean and reception staff helpful with maps etc, pool on the roof a bonus, with fantastic views of the city. good choice at breakfast with nice orange juice.
shopping mall at the back of hotel very handy too.
would stay here again when visiting valencia

Top Tip beach is 30 mins on metro, if arriving at airport, buy an bonocard which allows you to travel 10 times, if theres 2 of you, buy one card and pass it back when you have gone through barrier, so you can have 5 trips for about 10 euros, great value!
ginger loft cafe in the old part is great for lunch,

The main problem with this hotel was that the bedroom was really small. There wasn't enough room for us to unpack our clothes and there was nowhere to put our suitcases. It felt very claustrophobic.

Parking is also a problem - we weren't prepared to pay 18.50€ to park each night so parked on the street - it was hard to find a parking spot but we managed! (And also had the glass out of our wing mirror stolen!).

The hotel is located close to shops and restaurants and public transport, however it is a treck to any nightlife and the old town.

Breakfast is quite good, although it takes a while for empty dishes to be replenished.

Top Tip Make sure you find out what time the last bus and tube is - it may be earlier than you'd expect in a large city.

Great hotel, with a great terrace and roof top pool. Breakfasts are really good value for money, staff were excellent. Taxi to hotel from airport is 18euros but from hotel to airport it was 13euros.

Top Tip You must visit the beach its amazing arround 10 euros in a taxi from outside the hotel, also when there have a paella at La Pepica restaurant, fantastic food, tho a little bit expensive but muy bueno!!!!! :-)

This is our second visit in 7 months and again we cannot fault anything about our stay. The staff are most welcoming and helpful. If there is something not to your liking just mention it, the staff deal with problems very quickly eg I asked if i could have a kettle in our room within 10 minutes we had a kettle tea and coffee. The buffet menu may be hard to understand but walk in and have a look its just as amazing as the breakfast :)

Top Tip Do visit the rooftop pool the view is amazing and staff very friendly . TRAVEL REPUBLIC
still the best rates

Ive stayed 13+ times at this hotel. Its so easy from airport and the metro stops right under the hotel. No stress at all. The breakfast has always been our favourite. Just help yourself to everything. Its right at the start of a 4-5 mile walk to see all the sites.

Top Tip Plaza de Reina is the place to be on the night time and only a short walk away. So many different restaurants. Just look for prices. it can be a little pricey!

The Staff were very knowlegeable and helpful in advising you where to go. Service was in the main good although very little English is spoken they try to help the best they can. Clean bright close to a good public transport that will take you to where every you want to go for very little cost

Top Tip Valencia is a beautiful city lots to do and see, if not a little expensive for families, We stayed for 5 nights and were told we would not have enough to do however I disagree, there was lots to do.

We've stayed here several times in the past, so know that it's a friendly hotel with reasonable food in the mandarin restaurant and piano bar (big screen tv for the football fans to watch while having a snack or drink).Rooms are nice and comfy and clean-only minor complaint this time was that the remote didn't work for the tv,so the only way to switch off was to remove the batteries from the remote. No big deal as we were only there for one night and didn't spend much time in the room.
Metro station Turia is right by the hotel so easy to get anywhere by train-this includes the airport for about 2 euro and there are plenty of bus stops in the area.
We use the Expo when we have an early flight out from Valencia airport, the breakfast buffet is open from 7am so we get a good breakfast- and then a taxi out front of the hotel costs about 12 euro to the airport.

Top Tip Great place to top up on your shopping skills as it's built on top of one of the biggest indoor shopping malls in the area-so it has a range of eateries - most are of the snack type places ((yep-includes Ronald and Burger King) with a couple of tapas bar places for the Spanish experience. Lots of clothes shops for the young, the old and kiddies. It's a great way to end a trip.

Check-in Date: 16/Oct/2009

I stayed for 10 nights and what struck me was the standard of cleanliness. My room was immaculately cleaned every day and linen and towels changed as needed. Hotel laundry expensive but excellent. Breakfast in dining room buffet style and typical hotel fare, plenty of it and a large choice. Had one evening meal which was good but not exceptional, as one would expect for a business hotel. 10 mins walk from the Old City and easy access to the airport. My taxi cost €12. Staff were polite and friendly without being intrusive and helpful when needed. The staff in the bar provided exceptionally good service. I needed a comfortable but not luxurious base for my stay in the city, with a desk and decent bathroom. That is exactly what I got. I would certainly stay there again. Great access to public transport. Didn't experience any of the downside as reported elsewhere on these pages.

Top Tip Casa Paquito, Carrer de Quart 10,el Barrio del Carmen, excellent Valencian restaurant with lively atmosphere and good food. Very crowded at weekends, may need to book. 10 mins from Hotel Expo.

Taberna Jamón Jamón, Calle de la Bolsería 36, el Barrio del Carmen, stunning tapas, slightly mor expensive, but worth it. Excellent choice of wines. Given customary chopito at the end of a meal. Very welcome. Staff excellent and helpful. Very busy.
