Ok stay, but being off season, just highlighted the fact the hotel was not near any real entertainment.
The hotel is ideal for a beach holiday, or an adventuring holiday.
Be prepared if you are British, you will be in a very small minority, most guests are from Germany, Austria or Switzerland as the hotel is ideal for the cycling holidays most of these guests take.
During the season, the beach looks to be superb and beach lovers will love it. Be prepared for a 45 min walk or bus to get to the port and old town areas.
The hotel was excellent, the staff were very polite and helpful. The hotel is mainly used by German-speaking guests and is geared accordingly, however all the staff spoke good English!
Coming in late-march most of the bars and restaurants near the hotel were closed there were a few open but we ended up doing the 45 minute walk to Port d'Alcudia every day to find a bit of life! The hotel was very close to the local bus route which supposedly ran every 15 minutes but didn't appear to be anything like that frequency.
The hotel was excellent. It is located right on the beach and has brilliant facilities, including a turkish baths, sauna area, all included in the price. The food was also excellent, some of the best buffet food we have had in a hotel. We have returned home a little heavier! Only one small complaint, the beds were not all that comfortable.
Bus services to Palma, Alcudia and Puerta Pollensa are located very near to the hotel.
The hotel was fablous. Ideal for getting away from it all and relaxing. The staff and facilities were certainly 4* quality.
The local beach is amazing.
Staying at the Grupotel Los principes was a great experience, the hotel is situated right on the beach, the garden's have plenty of sunloungers that you dont have to pay for like you do on the beach which is just 1 step away, apartments were a good size, but you dont spend much time in them when you have a good size pool at the hotel and a lovely beach beside it, reception area is very welcoming and staff were kind and helpful, also has internet access, dont know about food as we were self catering but looking from the outside the restaurant was huge and looked very clean and welcoming, Smith's restaurant close by is great for your English breakfasts and any football fans out there (sky tv) there are lots of places to eat giving a wide coice on the menu, Great hotel we would go back tomorrow :)
lovely beach, you can walk out in shallow water for ages, water is lovely and clear you can also see little fishes swimming around, we also found 2 starfish which our girls adopted for a few days before releasing them safetly back into deeper water.
The apartment was very clean and spacious, food was brilliant (huge variety, nice and fresh) as well as the service,
will definetely come back; very good for families with children, staff very friendly and helpful,
very highly recommended
very good location (on the beach);
Fabulous hotel, in a great location - right on the beach, which is amazing. Very clean, great food, friendly staff and the jewel in the crown is the indoor pool/spa/sauna which is free.
Liked the hotel so much in May, went back with different friends in July. Would go again
We only went for a week and cause the food in the hotel was so great didn't go to restuarants. But the port area is lively, with bars etc. loved the walk on the beach towards the nature park and local market.
Great hotel with very good facilities and excellent food and service
Great hotel extreamly well run with helpful attentive staff. Te food was very good with a great verity. Nice pool and right on the beach. It was everything we could wish for.
The British were a little out numbered by the Germans.
Bus stop from just outside the hotel. If you study the timetable you can get around the island easily and cheaply
Excellent Hotel. Good Value and great food. Beach is excellent.
Get into the town of Alcudia as it is a very nice authentic place with great restaurants and atmosphere.
The hotel was outstanding and all the staff were exceptional, the only negative point is the location. There is nothing close by to walk to only a few souvenier shops and the odd restaurant so I found that very disappointing. The evening entertainment was a little limited as they had the same show on twice in the ten days I was there.
A trip to Peuerto Alcudia is a must for a meal on the beach in the evening.
apartment was a bit smelly no sunlight was getting in.
A great hotel in a great location.
The sea bus service accessible from the jetty on the beach outside the hotel is an excellent service. Visit Oasis Bar and Restaurant for great entertainment for all the family!
Lovely hotel. The beach it is on is beautiful. Very friendly staff. It takes about 45mins to walk to the port but you can walk all the way there on the beach!
The hotel was lovely, clean and the staff were very friendly. The food was plentiful, fantastic and real value for money (we stayed HB). The hotel generally receives more German visitors than English but this mean't that it was suitable for a very peaceful and pleasent holiday. We will look out for this hotel chain again.
Visit Port De Pollenca for shopping and more resturants.
A good spot. Two good swimming pools and the very safe beach just off the hotel make this an ideal spot for families with small children.
We were in the apartment sector of the hotel. All the rooms had ample pillows, blackout curtains and good air conditioning. The kitchen facility is minimal, however, it will allow family meals for say 4 to be prepared with reasonable resourcefulnesses.
The spar shops nearby have a very poor selection of fresh vegetables and this is the only negative point I have about the local facilities.
The local beach is great, the essential points are, the water is warn, no big waves and it remains shallow for a 100 + meters. We knew our little baby was safe splashing in the sea.
Like all seas there are jelly fish in the water and it was only minutes before we were stung, albeit only when we ventured into the deeper waters.
We spent many a night on the beach resting on the "beach loungers" watching the stars and the moon rise, thus the availability of the loungers and a quiet, dark and safe beach at night is also a big bonus.
