Grupotel Taurus Park Hotel Reviews

I got upgraded from the Grupotel Taurus Park to the Grupotel Spa and Suites next door. Bearing this in mind...

Hotel was like a palace, only 2 storeys high. The Spa suite was amazing. Staff throughout hotel friendly, genuine, helpful, courteous. Food was magnificent, both at breakfast and in the evening, excellent choice too. Rooms very swish, in form of small suite, with lounge (incl. small kitchen with fridge, microwave, sink and hob), bathroom and bedroom. Rooms had small balcony off of lounge with french door in bedroom, overlooking large outside pool.

The only downside was that commensurate with the quality of the hotel, internet access, wine at dinner, drinks in the bar etc, were a little expensive. Talking of the bar, top quality, classy live musical entertainment every evening, from guitar to piano to violin, playing jazz and modern classics.

The hotel was well geared up for cyclists, with specialist storage down in the basement, including a good quality workstand and compressor for pumping up tyres!

Beach is only 5mins walk away. The Q Lounge on the seafront is well worth a visit for a beer, coffee or pizza/bocadillo.

THE HOTEL NEXT DOOR (THE SUITE AND SPA) WAS A GOOD HOTEL DID STAY THERE IN MAY THIS YEAR

Very Very German, yet again only english in hotel. Found staff abrupt and germans not very warm at all. No one smiled at us or even tried to make conversation. Hotel was clean and drinks reasonably priced. Food was ok, lots of variety. Would not stay there again.

Lovely meal in the Dino restuarant just down the hill. Horse and Cart a nice ride.

Good food, although restaurant on 1st floor (stairs). No entertainment whilst we were there, but out of season. Lots of cyclists!

Nice hotel, friendly staff but full of germans not a single english person there throughout our stay. Was not warned or does it say in the hotel description men have to wear trousers for dinner, was very embarrasing as my husband could not get into the resturant.

Great beach, only downfall is being constantly hassled by the looky looky men, we counted 46 in 2 hours was getting fed up of saying no thank you.

Bathroom needed refurbishment. Excellent choice at breakfast & dinner buffet - food good.

Well-presented buffet meals with plenty of choice; good service; clean and comfortable rooms; public areas of high quality.

Playa de Palma is an award-winning beach, but gets crowded at weekends. The shops are mostly souvenir shops, bars and cafes, but there is a branch of Mango and a good supermarket.
