For an excellent English breakfast and at a moderate cost i would strongly recommend Rugby Tuesday's, which is a two minute walk from the Hawaii Torrenova Apartments.
Four 20 plus year olds staying in 1 room at the hawaii torenova appartments, all inclusive. Room was ok had everything we needed and a good view from the balcony looking across the bay. Swimming pools were a bit small but never seemed to be that busy being we were only a stone throw away from the beach. Hotel reception staff in general were very helpful and spoke good english, however the bar staff were very slow and rude at times serving you, stopping for a chat with the other bar staff half way through serving your drinks but some days they were ok.
The food was ok but not many english dishes on offer as an option for those who do not like "foreighn" food, the Best meal had to be breakfast. The local larger they had for all inclusive was called cruzcampo and it was vile we drank vodka or peach snaps all week at the hotel.
Day time activities were available and gave us a good chance to mix with other guests they were good fun. Never realy stayed for the evaning entertainment because the qeue for the bar was ridiculos and the entertainment was more for families.
overall I think I would stay in this hotel again but would go self catering instead of all inclusive.
The Welsh Mosquito Cafe Bar was a briliant place we found right up on the beach front near the banana boat ride. We went there for breakfast and snacks several times excellent food and service every time very friendly staff would recomend a visit there to anyone.

lovely sea view, not much variety in food but enough and better quality than most hotels i have stayed in. entertainment was a bit lame but all inclusive was fab could get as many drinks as like at one time and bottles of water were included.
the godfathers steak house lovely food. pirates fantastic.
Lovely hotel, very good variety of food, beds could have been more comfortable but that was the only fault we found with the hotel.
Would recommend Tom Browns and The Cottage for eating out.
great value for money, food is great but limited variety especially for child
Unfortunately, the hotel does not meet my expectations. The rooms was cleaned regularly, but the area surrounding the pool was extremely dirty. The staff was courteous and polite, but not proficient in English and quite often received misunderstandings. I would not visit this hotel again.
The apartments were very clean, had a fantastic view. Swimming pool was freezing. Childrens entertainment was good in the evening, they have a kids club in the day. Its a short walk to Magaluf, and Palmanova.
the staff seemed unorganized think it had just opened up the day before. thought i had booked the hawaii hotel not the appartments so was disapointed. but enjoyed ourselves.
This hotel does provide some wonderful views across the bay. However the noise levels between rooms is poor.
Room sizes are average ;very tight for four adults ,perhaps ok for family with small kids
but not during high season.
This hotel needs to decide if it is catering for stags/young Magaluf merchants or families.
Blue Bar restaurant for pleasant Spanish/Italian/Seafood.
Ruby Tuesday for bingo, beer ,music.
The Scotsman (below Ruby Tuesday) for superb Scottish/English breakfasts.
Taste of India -great food, good service.
nice apartments clean near to beach shops & bars will go back again
very nice beach
APARTMENT WAS FAB BUT PAID FOR SEA VIEW AND NEVER GOT IT WAS TOLD THAT HOTEL WAS FULL SO HAD TO HAVE A VERY SMALL ROOM WITH NO BEDS JUST SOFA'S,
Toilet had hot water inside & didn't flush very well .Balcony didn't have much privacy apart very good
We go to Majorca a couple of times a year and each time we find something else. This time a coffee bar overlooking the bay close to the roundabout at Santa Ponsa ,lovely view and good food. Can,t remember the name but sold illy coffee.
the hotel room was lovely staff very helpfull considering coming back next year
lots of places to eat, nice beach
Staff very Friendly, Room was clean and well equiped.
I have used option not suitable for older pepole, however that only applies to certain parts of the apartments with no lifts for access to higher floors, too many steps etc.. otherwise its wouldnt be a problem
The 1 bed apartment is a decent size with great sea view and good balcony size
The general area is in need of a spruce up compared to a year ago, where the streets got cleaned daily, only saw this happen once in 9 days, also the general cleaning of access corridors and poolareas seemed to be left uncleaned for long periods, not cleaned or washed down daily as I would expect
The staff on reception were helpfull but the bar staff on the terrace not so, in fact quite misrable, unfriendly and expensive, when friends/family staying in a nearby hotel came for a drink one evening no one from the bar even let on they were closing even though we had been there for appx 45 mins they just closed at 12 midnight without notice.
Not very good for customer relations who are on holiday spending hard earned money relaxing etc.. having to argue about getting around of drinks, we are not loud yobs causing trouble, we are all 40 plus who were just sat chatting enjoying the evening breeze from the bay, otherwise we had a great holiday
A couple of bars / restaurant to mention for self catering turn right out of the apartments stay right a few hundered yards is the Blue Bar, good food and wine overlooking the beach / bay average prices
further round the beach front near the Santa Lucia hotel a great steak cooked on chargrill (cant remember the name but its on the beach front) more expensive though but great food
if you want a good breakfast the Canny Cafe turn right out of apartment stay to your left up the hill 500 yards on right, full breakfast tea, toast etc.. 2.80 - 3 euro
We were so pleased with Hawaii Torrenova. The location was perfect for us - situated around the corner on a quiet peninsula, but only a couple of minutes walk down the hill to the beach and local restaurants and bars, and only a 5 minute walk into the livelier Magalluf if you wanted to venture there! So close to lots of entertainment but far enough on the edge to be quiet. Perfect! There is also a supermarket right next door. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and helped us to book a trip. The clean studio apartment had an amazing sea view - the balcony was right above the sea, fantastic. We stayed on Floor 1, which is downstairs. If you want a quieter sleep probably best on a lower floor as the bar is at the top. Prob best to take ear-plugs anyway because, as in most hotels abroad, there is not much sound-proofing between rooms/floors! If you ask for the middle studio it is the biggest! Two nice pool areas and lots of loungers. The only slight downside to the hotel is the 'entertainment' - rather kiddy orientated and a bit cheesy - but that was ok because we wanted to go somewhere different each night anyway. Would definitely stay here again.
Highly recommend a visit to the Blue Bar restaurant which is just at the bottom of the hill on the seafront on the left. The owner was so friendly and eager to please - he even gave us a glass of bubbly on our last night. Recommend their sirloin steak with home-made pepper sauce!
i have never booked my holiday through a agent like this this before and i must say it was great starting at the airport then the shuttle then the apartment i would highly recommend travel republic to everyone thank you for making our holiday .
the location was suberb with a fantastic view and it was two minutes from the beach and all the entertainment was right on the doorstep.
This was our 3rd year in a row staying at this particular hotel. Prior to arriving, I had emailed asking about the possibility of getting one of the rooms that overlook the childrens playpark as these appeared to have the best views. Much to my delight, I was allocated room 676 which is exactly where I wanted.
This year there were a noticeable increase in the number of young people staying at the hotel.
I have to say that other than the first night (when there seemed to be a party going on in one of the apartments below us), we didn't notice any noise for the remainder of our 10 nights.
I would recommend always asking for one of the rooms at the front of the hotels i.e. overlooking the sea as there can be quite a lot of street noise first think in the morning (particularly the glass collecting bin lorry!)
This was the first year we noticed securty guards patrolling at night, which may have contributed to less noise than I can remember from last year.
There appeared to be much less families here than I can remember from the previous 2 years, but that could well be down to Magaluf/Palmanova being much quieter than it was previously.
The only real complaint I had was the attitude of the bar staff at the pool side bar. I recognised most of the faces from last year, but can't really rememeber them ever being as miserable as they were this year. It seemed like you were almost inconveniencing them asking to get served. Happy hour was between 8:00 and 9:45pm, but the only happy thing was that the drink was half price (it certainly wasn't a cue for the bar staff to start smiling).
A pint of lager was €3 (which was reasonable), but I would always ask to get it served in a glass rather than a plastic tumbler (the plastic "pint" glass only held 400ml rather than the 500ml of the glass tumbler). Bit of a sneaky rip off - just make sure you finish your pint at the bar rather than taking it to the poolside.
The room itself was basic, but perfectly reasonable for the 4 of us.
Maid came in about 8 days out of the 10 that we stayed, so had no problem with that at all.
In general, it would appear to me that whereas before the hotel may have stopped large stag/hen parties from staying, they are more than willing to try and get any sort of business at all in these tough economic times. That said, I had no problem with the young folk who were staying, but I'm generally quite laid back about these things, because I've been there myself when I was younger.
I would recommend this hotel, so long as you've got quite a laid back attitude to any groups of young folk.
Not sure if we'll go back again next year (but only beacuse we've already been 3 years in a row).
The views from the hotel are beautiful and it is very central for all facilities. If you have mobility problems it is not ideal. It is not suitable for families because when we visited in July it was full of young people who had no manners and thought nothing of returning at 6.00am shouting and laughing loudly, jumping in the pool, disturbing those of us who go to bed before the sun rises.
Katie's restuarant is always good value and the service is excellent.
