Travel Republic Press Release - 20th November 2009 - For Immediate Release
Leading travel website Travel Republic has powered ahead of a string of household names to claim top spot in a consumer report released by eDigitalResearch.
The www.TravelRepublic.co.uk website is most likely to be recommended by real holiday shoppers based on their experience of over 29 big brand travel websites analysed, including Lastminute, Expedia, Thomson and First Choice.
Managing director Kane Pirie said: "We are a modern, innovative company but there is nothing complex about our approach to the customer. We recognise they have a massive choice and will only organise their travel through us if they enjoy the experience".
"We are pleased to be ranked as the site which is most likely to be recommended by consumers, but there is no pause for respite - raising the standards of the customer experience is the eternal project."
eDigitalResearch's head of research Derek Eccleston said: "Consumers want a site that is simple to purchase from, but at the same time has the inspirational 'wow' factor that keeps them engaged. After all, reputations are built on the end to end customer experience, not just having the best site.
"It is clear from the survey that the travel sites that win loyalty will differentiate themselves on transparent pricing, an efficient booking process and best practice customer service."
eDigitalResearch conducted its second 'eMystery Shopper Survey' in September and October on 29 leading travel sites. Twenty surveys were completed of each site by mystery shoppers who provided an in-depth and structured study of usability, functionality, supporting logistics and customer service.
