Built in 1869, this hotel is spread over 4 floors and comprises a total of 498 rooms, of which 24 are suites. Guests are offered a glorious lobby with of a reception desk, a banking service and a lift. In addition, there is a bar, a small shopping arcade and a hairdressing salon for hotel guests. Further facilities include a casino, a conference room and an air-conditioned e la carte restaurant On request, guests are able to make use of the hotel's babysitting service. A car rental service rounds off the hotel's offerings.
“ This hotel was a nightmare. The accomodation was comfortable but did not stand out against other 3 and 4 star hotels i've stayed in. We stayed in the hotel on 2 occasions bookending our holiday on both occasions we had our room downgraded.

“ I have stayed in most of the hotels in Cairo and Safir probably represents the best value for money in its range.. The rooms are fresh comfortable and newer than most of the other 5 star hotels.. The breakfast is excellent and it as a swimming pool with lots of space and sunbeds so you dont have to tearing down there before dawn with a towel to secure one.
