“ This hotel was a wonderful find. It is family owned and run and it shows. Nothing is too much trouble for George or his lovely wife. Mum Elena does the cooking, and I suspect she could hold her own in any cooking competition, wonderful food.

The Elgoni Apartments are in the quiet traditional village of Piskopiano which is approximately one mile from the Port of Hersonissos. There are 15 apartments in the complex, all of which enjoy a sea view and are well equipped with a kitchenette, a balcony or terrace and air conditioning (with extra charge).

The Aloi Hotel is in a peaceful area, 250 metres from the beach. There is a handful of shops, bars, taverns and restaurants near to the hotel. The nearby resort of Hersonissos has a large selection of shops, bars, restaurants and clubs and is the place to go if you are looking for a livelier evening, or a days shopping. This hotel is an ideal choice for families and couples looking for a quiet, relaxing property for a truly restful holiday in Crete. The hotel has 25 bungalows and double rooms, all facing the sea. Rooms on the upper floor have sea views whilst those on the ground floor look out on the attractive gardens. The hotel pool is surrounded by beautiful gardens. The hotel has a restaurant and a bar. The garden restaurant offers a quiet shady place to enjoy a meal, on Saturdays there is fresh fish from the market, fortnightly barbeques with various meats and roasted potatoes from the wood-burning kiln and original thai cuisine is also available.
“ We would have loved to stay at the Aloi again, it was a garden oasis in Anissaras full of beautiful flowers, trees and birdsong. Despite being only rated a 2 star the place was clean and friendly with a lovely garden bar and nice pool.

Completely renovated in 2001 in the Cretan style and surrounded by gardens, this hotel comprises a main building and various bungalows with 204 rooms, of which 196 are doubles and 8 suites. Facilities on offer include a foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a bar, a tavern, a small supermarket and an air conditioned restaurant with non smoking area are all available for guests to make use of. Other facilities include a TV room, a games room, conference room and those arriving by car may take advantage of the hotel's car park or garage facilities. Room and laundry services complete the amenities on offer.
“ The hotel was very clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The view from our room was magnificient as we had directly across the road from the sea. The only negative aspect was that the hotel was a little remote from the main area with limited bars.

Hersonissos Village is a 4 star hotel situated in the outskirts of Hersonissos, and being on a hill side enjoys a breathtaking view over the Hersonissos bay. As a result of its position the hotel combines the calmness of its location, a near by beach, and the cosmopolitan life of Hersonissos town in a harmonious manner.
“ My boyfriend and I were pleasantly suprised by the hotel. The room we had was very clean and our balcony had a great view of the sea and the beach. Whilst the rooms are of a more basic standard they are tended to every day and have all the standard items you would need i,e, TV / phone / fridge / aircon e.

Iliostasi Beach apartments is a blend of traditional and modern Crete. "Iliostasi" means "the longest day of the year" and describes the sunlight-abundant days of the Greek summer.
“ The owner/manager was very friendly and eager to help. We were given a room at the front of the hotel with excellent sea views. The pool was virtually empty for most of the time - so no having to fight for sunbeds. If you want a quieter location outside of the main resort, this is it.

Porto Village is located in Hersonissos 26km east from Heraklion, the largest city of the island of Crete where the main airport and harbour are located. Being near the coast, the resort offers many stunning sea views to soak in during the stay. The hotel offers multiple bars, restaurants, playgrounds and swimming pools there is something for the whole family to enjoy. Some of the facilities are once a week Cretan night, free car parking in the building, English & Dutch speaking Reception, manager on a 12-hour basis, internet desk and others.
“ i would not recommend this hotel or apartments to anybody. The people were not at all helpful. There was no entertainment day or night, except greek dancers one night of the week and the male dancer nearly set fire to the children dancing around with his parafin.
