The Avenue Hotel is an excellent 3-star hotel in the historical centre of Amsterdam, with all well-known Amsterdam attractions within walking distance, yet only 30 minutes from Schiphol Airport. The hotel provides good-sized, comfortable rooms each with telephone, television. hairdryer, cable TV and pay-tv and internet access. The day starts with a delicious breakfast in the breakfast room. You can eat as much as you like and each day of the week, you’re welcome in the cosy St. Jacobsstreet Café, located in the hotel, for a bite and a chat or a refreshing pint of Heineken.
“ Great location, central for everything. If you arrive by train do not get a taxi!!! As we were unsure of where the hotel was we got a taxi and were charged 12 euro and the Hotel is only a 3 minute walk away! Room was basic but comfortable.

Regularly the shuttlebus to and from Schiphol Airport (a transfer takes approximately 40 minutes) arrives at the hotel's entrance. The Lounge serves coffee, high teas and a delicious lunch or dinner overlooking Dam Square. In the Golden Palm Bar enjoy a drink before you have dinner in the monumental Restaurant Reflet or Restaurant Shibli Bedouin. Breakfast is served in the breath taking Winter Garden.

“ Fantastic hotel, clean, well located and the staff really could not do enough to help you. The rooms were on the small side and it did get a little cold at times but in fairness it was -12 at one point outside. Would definately stay here again and could not recommend it highly enough.

The Nova Hotel is situated between the Dam Square and Spui. It is a pleasant hotel, located within five beautifully renovated 17th century buildings in the old heart of Amsterdam. The shopping areas are nearby and in front of the hotel you will find the Amsterdam Historical museum whilst the Anne Frank Museum is only 5 minutes away. There are also numerous excellent restaurants and cafes in the immediate surroundings. The guestrooms are all very well equipped with modern facilities and amenities.
“ This is a cute hotel with a great location in the city center just 2 min walk from the Dam Square. Rooms are modern (there are two type of rooms we were in the renovated blok) nice breakfast, very friendly staff, free tea in the lobby and free internet.

Renovated in 2007, the air-conditioned hotel offers 435 luxurious rooms where one can enjoy all the comforts that come with being one of the hotel's esteemed guests. In the spacious conference centre, the hotel can arrange meetings, congresses and parties in a variety of styles, whether it be for 5 or over 1,000 people. The facilities include a lobby with a 24-hour reception, a safe, a currency exchange, a cloakroom, lift access, a cafe and a hairdresser. The hotel also includes a bar, a pub and a restaurant as well as WLAN/Internet access. Laundry services are also available along with a car park and a playground.
“ Lovely hotel and certainly a bargain at the price paid via travel republic. Followed the tips of bringing the travel kettle for room drinks and using the free shuttle bus then train for visiting the city and couldn't have asked for a better stay.
