Ouropinion: For something a bit different why not try a stay on the water in Amsterdam's well known floating hotel, the Amstel Botel Amsterdam. Since the beginning of 2008 the hotel has been moored in a trendy dockside area immediately to the North of Central Station, which has a bohemian feel with workshops, artists' studios and hip cafes. A great plus point is the fact that they also offer a free ferry connection and shuttle bus service to Central Station. The cabins are compact and so we have chosen to feature the hotel as a 2 star superior (officially rated 3 star) but all have en-suite facilities and are well maintained.
