“ A large complex cleverly layed out with small areas both inside and outside, which made eating and lounging very comfortable. Gardens were well kept with good quality loungers in abundance. The hotel was very clean and the staff helpful and friendly.

Dining options include the restaurant ""Flor do Mar"", in which first-rate cookery and live entertainment are presented, as well as a bar. There are 2 function rooms that can also be booked for cocktail receptions, conferences and other events. Guests can also make use of the laundry service.

The hotel has much to offer including 3 bars, 2 restaurants, spa Satsanga with indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a fitness room, Jacuzzi, Turkish baths (these are chargeable locally and rates include use of a towel) and a children's mini club. All bedrooms are fully equipped with modern amenities including, safe, satellite TV, DVD player, air-conditioning, telephone and private balcony.
“ The Vila Gale Santa Cruz is an exceptional 4star hotel. All of the staff are very helpful, knowledgable and friendly. The food quality is excellent with a wide and varied selection. The location of the hotel is ideal for a relaxing break.

“ Pretty great Hotel in all respects. Excellent breakfasts catering for all testes, very well kept rooms, amazing swimming pool and great views. We found the view of the garden / town to be better than the more expensive sea view so go for this cheaper option!

“ Reception Staff very friendly helpful and efficient, Louis the concierge was extremely friendly and explained how everything worked and where dining options etc could be found.We travelled with another couple and both stayed in an beautiful spacious Junior Suite on the 4th Floor with spectacular views of Funchal and the Harbour.
