The Sol Los Fenicios hotel is located right on La Herradura beach in a wonderful, tropical setting in the small town of La Herradura, 5 minutes from the city of Almuñecar (Granada), 79 km from Granada airport and 35 min. from Malaga airport. Please note that starting Summer 2012 Sol Los Fenicios will be Adults-only hotel.
“ Hotel almost on beach with excellent outdoor pool on roof.Wide choice of good food at breakfast,served by friendly attentive staff. My wife needed medical treatment and the reception staff arranged taxis to the medical centre in a friendly and efficient manner. we highly recommended this excellent hotel

Located on the seafront of the broad Playa de Poniente beach, a short distance from the yachting harbour at Motril and the Playa de Granada golf course, next to an environmentally protected area. The hotel features an indoor heated swimming pool, Jacuzzi and sauna, café & piano bar as well as an À la carte restaurant with a varied selection of exquisitely prepared Andalusian and international dishes, with fresh local fish and shellfish being a speciality. Each guest room has satellite TV, individually controlled air conditioning, safe and fully equipped bathroom.
“ Although the hotel was very well looked after, very few of the staff spoke any english and we were the only english couple there, so a good command of spanish is needed. The car park is not free it cost us 6 euros a day. The indoor pool, jacuzzi etc all cost 10 euros and a large umbrella by the pool is also 10 euros.

Built in 2007, this family-friendly beach hotel comprises a total of 241 large, comfortable rooms. Facilities on offer to guests at this air-conditioned establishment include a lobby area with a 24-hour check-out service, a hotel safe, a currency exchange facility, a lift, a cafe and a restaurant. It also offers a large hall for meetings and conferences. Further facilities include garage parking (for an additional fee and depending on availability) and a hairdressing/beauty salon.
“ On the whole a good hotel - very nice public areas, good pools and rooms a very decent size with lots of wardrobe space. Our room had fantastic views over Marina del Este and Almunecar.

This modern hotel offers a total of 232 rooms spread over 9 floors, as well as a roof terrace which offers wonderful views out over Almunecar Bay. Amongst the facilities count a pleasant lobby with a reception and sitting area, several lifts, a bar/cafe, a TV room, conference room and hairdresser. There is also an air-conditioned restaurant, various car parking options and room service.
“ A very good hotel. The only problem I had was the the beds were too hard, many others said the same. I have a back injury so it caused me a lot of pain. Cleanliness is excellent, food also and plentiful. Entertainment would have the volume too loud, which drove us away. The plunbing can be noisy. Good views on the non sunny side, not good on the sunny side.

The hotel complex was completely renovated in 2010. It comprises a 3 floor main building and a 6-floor annexe block, with altogether 195 rooms of which 181 are double rooms and 9 are single rooms as well as 5 suites. The main building offers guests a lobby area with 24-hour reception, a lift, a currency exchange desk and a safe. The complex includes a hairdresser's salon, a TV and lounge area, a conference room, a cafe and an air-conditioned restaurant with highchairs for infants. Services on offer here include a public free Internet terminal, bicycle hire and laundry services. The outdoor complex includes a children's play area. Car parking and garage facilities are on offer outside.
“ Clean hotel but food poor and not a great deal of choice.Best meal breakfast.Staff helpful but hotel not near any beaches and impossible to walk anywhere from hotel as no pavements and a very busy main road.You do need to hire a car to get anywhere
