The hotel complex consists of 181 rooms on 1-3 storeys in 9 blocks of apartments, which are clustered around the sea. The hotel offers a hall and a reception, completely renovated with sofas, as well as an Internet corner, TV and video room, restaurant and bar. The new design restaurant and snack bar offer amazing views of the swimming pool and beach. There is a kids' club (4-12 years) and a park with games for children.

The Cala d’Or Playa Apartments are in a quiet residential area just a 5 minute walk from Cala Esmeralda beach, so kids can make good use of their buckets and spades. Plus, the property is only a 10 minute walk from the Cala Gran beach in the other directions and the restaurants of Cala d’Or, so you’re sorted when you want to eat out.
“ Pool food was average, but is only a snack. We were a couple and did find the screaming kids through the corrider on a daily basis a bit noisy / annoying but thats not the hotel fault. The hotal was very clean and staff were always friendly.

A fully modernized apartment complex, 250 m from Cala Gran (the largest of the Cala D’Or coves) and Cala Ferrera. Cala D’Or is the perfect resort for couples and families alike. Although this units caters for children in high season, it is nice and quiet without a noisy entertainment programme throughout the day and evening. It is the perfect spot for couples to relax at their pleasure and enjoy the local surroundings. Located 29 km from the popular Cuevas del Drach caves, 60 km from the airport, 65 km from the city centre of Palma de Mallorca, 73 km from Portals Nous, 80 km from the Casino and 86 km from Valldemossa.
“ Had a great week here. Stayed in a studio appartment which was VERY small, approx 4 to 5 m square plus a hallway and seperate bathroom. The room was exceptionally clean as was the rest of the hotel.

Hotel Barcelo Ponent Playa is situated on Cala Ferrera beach, in the beautiful resort of Cala D'or in south-western Majorca. This hotel is in a quiet, peaceful location, but close to a tourist area buzzing with activity round the clock. There is a wide variety of services to choose from along with a program of entertainment. Facilities include a buffet restaurant, 3 bars and a poolside snack bar (summer only) as well as a games room, indoor heated swimming pool, sauna and children's playground.
“ hotel was very clean and well run, staff very helpful. rooms a little small as was the balcony and not really worth paying extra for the sea view as sun moves round to the front of hotel in the early afternoon.

Completely renovated in 2000, this fully air-conditioned hotel consists of 97 rooms on 2 floors. The hotel also has a substantial 1,500-me garden. The facilities include a lobby with a 24-hour reception, a safe, a TV room, a cloakroom, a currency exchange desk, a games room, a terrace overlooking the bay, bicycle rental (from a local provider), a bicycle cellar and car parking facilities. Dining options include a cafe and an air-conditioned restaurant with a separate non-smoking are (children's highchairs are available). Further facilities include Internet access (WLAN), room and laundry services as well as medical assistance.
“ Very nice setting, pleasant staff, clean and relaxing with shops and restaurants just a stroll away . we would definitely go again and their seemed to be alot of people there that were regulars. Having the beach just at the bottom of the steps was a bonus, my two girls aged 15 and 12 realy enjoyed this holiday as did I and we would all definitely go again. To sum up I would say tasteful!
