The Hotel Maricel was fabulous though rather more close to Palma than we anticipated and the suburbs are rather busy. However the Hotel was in a beautiful setting towering over the sea with a wonderful pool and access to the sea via a pier... breakfast was lovely but food generally was very expensive and not michelin standard as one would expect of a hotel of this calibre. We laterly discovered the hotel's new spa complex with gym, spa and treatments - the gym was a much appreciated extra. Wished we had booked for a week rather than the 4 nights we actually stayed. The service was excellent.


Top Tip A five minute walk from the hotel in Cala Nova we found a Trattoria restaurant which served excellent pizzas and pasta - really quite good and cheap - overlooking the sea.
