The hotel and room was spotlessly clean and well looked after. There was a bar and a separate reading room, which also had board games, books and Internet access. It was a magnificent room with comfy seating. There was a small courtyard garden with a lily pond, which also had seating and was very relaxing. The room was a decent size as was the bathroom, and there was a small fridge (no freezer box) which was great for putting wine or beer in. The air con was a big plus. The only thing that the room lacked was tea/coffee making so take your own kettle etc. The dining room was on the second floor and overlooked the sea. The staff were very efficient and the food was brilliant – everything you could possibly want. Also worth a mention was that you had free beach towel hire, so no need to clutter your case up. You just handed them in at the end of the day and they replaced them with clean ones. I would say that the hotel was more suited to the over 40 year olds.
S’Algar itself was made up mainly of private villas and apartments. A very quiet place with a few restaurants and a couple of shops. The main thing going off in S’Algar seemed to be the diving school, which was directly opposite the hotel. No beach but they did have man made areas where you could sunbathe and ladders down into the sea, so easy access into the water. Also opposite the hotel was the Beach Bar across a small quiet road. The pool was fantastic, large and very clean, and there was a small pool for toddlers in the Hotel S’Algar part at the back that couldn’t be seen from the main pool. I knew the hotels swimming pool was over the road, which wasn’t a problem, but I didn’t realise that you shared the pool with anyone else that was visiting the Beach Bar or just hiring a sunbed for the day. Although the S’Algar hotel had their own area at the back end of the pool for sunbathing, all the area around the pool with sunbeds could be hired for 3 euos a day per sunbed. So even though there was only a handful of children staying at the hotel, the pool got packed with the children from nearby apartments and also from the other hotels who wanted a change. That is the only thing that would put me off going back to the hotel but that’s just a personal thing.

My hotel was very clean and kept in good order. The food for all inclusive was slightly above average. Ideally this hotel is suited for older couples and there were many older couples staying in the hotel.

The apartments we stayed in were very spacious and clean; the cleaners came in three times a week to change towels and sheets ect.
Very happy with our apartments.
A few yards down a lane near where we stayed, was a small Bakery which produced fresh bread and pastry every morning; you had to arrive early though as they soon sold out.
