Set on the banks of the River Avon, The Old Mill Hotel & Lodge has lovely grounds and stunning vies of the countryside surrounding Bath. It is located on a site that housed a flour mill until 1907. Since then it has been developed into an attractive hotel with fully refurbished rooms, afunction room, a restaurant, bar and lounge. The rooms offer free coffee/tea making facilities, cookies and quality toiletries. Guests can also enjoy a flat screen TV with satelite channels, and an ISDN link. Il Mulino, the hotel's riverside restaurant, has an unique waterwheel feature and panoramic views. The menu features local, fresh produce, and is also open to non residents. Between April and October a riverboat leaves 330 ft across the bridge, and take passengers into the centre of Bath.

“ we had a small but compact 1bedroom apartment. Had everything that was needed for a short stay. Great that u had your own pplace rather then in hotel with other people. Pratt's - A Forestdale Hotel

Built in 1743 by one of the city's most famous architects, John Wood the Elder, Pratt's Hotel has been part of Bath's heritage for more than two centuries and represents a great location for a short break or weekend stay in Bath to explore the city's many historic attractions. The hotel was originally five town houses, but as early as 1791 two of those were being used as boarding houses. Some famous occupants over the years include Sir Walter Scott, William Wilberforce and Dame Peggy Ashcroft. In 1910 Mrs Frederick Pratt bought the boarding house at 5 South Parade, and by 1917 the property was registered as 'Pratt's Hotel'. The building itself has many interesting features, with a variety of character rooms, a classic Georgian restaurant and lounges with open fireplaces, and a bowed landing on the staircase, designed to enable 'chairmen' to carry clients back to their rooms in their sedan chairs after a treatment in the city's famous spa baths. “ This was my first visit to Pratts Hotel. Whilst it was faded and tired in appearance, it more than made up for it by being fairly clean and provided all the basics for a short stay. I liked the quaintness and old fashioned appearance and the sagging floors and ceilings and narrow corridors etc.
