Full-service Midtown hotel close to Central Park,Broadway shows, Carnegie Hall,and chic shops are near-neighbors to this centrally located 25-story hotel. Spacious, refurbished rooms have high ceilings, soundproof walls, smart tan-and-black color schemes, dual-line speakerphones, and modernized bathrooms with marble sinks. The hotel includes a popular bar and cafe, and a fitness center. Convenient Internet access is available just off the lobby.
“ Facilities were good. One disappointment-we had to evacuate the hotel during the night due to smoke in the basement and although the hotel guests were remarkable and calm there were no staff members to be seen on any of the fire escapes or outside the hotel where we waited. There were several announcements but no actual staff to assist.

For a classic New York City hotel experience, none of the other Hotels in New York City comes close to The Roosevelt Hotel. Opened in 1924 at the height of the Jazz Age, the "Grand Dame of Madison Avenue" continues to impress guests in its prime location at Madison Avenue and 45th Street in midtown Manhattan. This historic hotel is 2 blocks from Grand Central Station. A $3-million guestroom redecoration in 2003 added a stylish gold-and-green color scheme with cheerful red accents. All guestrooms feature high-speed Internet access (fee). The 18-story Roosevelt greets guests with one of New York most magnificent lobbies and offers the capabilities of a large, full-service hotel at reasonable rates.
“ I stayed at the Roosevelt for four nights for a girls holiday and found it really nice. The foyer is impressive and our room was of a good standard. The bathroom was not the biggest but as New York isn't somewhere you will lounge about, it never mattered. The hotel is well located in midtown Manhatten and you only have to walk one minute down the road for a great local Irish bar called Eamons.

“ Staff were very polite. Room very disappointing. Bathroom far too small for what was described as a quadruple room! Had a kitchenette but no means to heat any water (no kettle). Not what I was expecting.
