4 Star Ambos Mundos Boutique Hotel in Havana
We have stayed at three different occasions in three different rooms at the Ambos Mundos. Whilst the lobby and public areas are maintained very well, the rooms, especially the bathrooms are not. The toilet flush wasn't working in two rooms, the bathtubs were leaking and basically flooding the entire bathroom. Instead of air - water came out of the aircondition in the bathroom and continued dripping all night long so that the bathroom had a wet floor in the morning. The breakfast is below average. From 09.30am there was just very little or no supply to stock up the buffet. Ham and cheese were out and the eggs were a poor quality. Service was lacking and very slow and only worked with tip. I stayed in other hotels in Havana in the old town, for less money and had a more satisfying experience. I would not return or recommend this hotel.
4 Star Conde De Villanueva Boutique Hotel in Havana
Really good feel of Havana in this hotel, and very good central location.
3 Star El Comendador Boutique Hotel in Havana
I love the Comendador and Valencia (which in effect function as one hotel). I've stayed there 4 times now. The staff are helpful, the hotel itself is beautiful, and the rooms pretty good, in a non-standard way. It isn't like the big hotels in that it is a bit rough round the edges, but the quality of the experience is great. Feels more authentic than say teh Sevilla, and wonderfully placed for wandering round Old Havana (which is a much better bet than staying in Vedado).
3 Star Gran Caribe Saint John's Hotel in Havana
Clean rooms and friendly staff, decent location, close to the water. Could do with a bit of an update regarding furniture and ACs, but all by all good value for money.
3 Star Gran Caribe Vedado Hotel in Havana
The room smelt of damp and while it had been cleaned it was still grimy and definitely not sparkling clean. The towels were not white but rather off white..
3 Star Hostal Valencia Boutique Hotel in Havana
Our second visit, hope to return in the near future
3 Star Hotel Club Acuario in Havana
After being accused of lying about my reservation (though I had all the emails) for 24 hours and having my passport confiscated, they finally sorted it out. Well, I sorted it out at a cost of £14:90 in mobile phone calls to Travel Republic. Having resolved the matter there was no apology at all. The staff were rude, lazy and not customer focused at all. It is the worst break I have EVER had and quite where Travel Republic get the 3* rating is beyond me. The rooms were dirty, staff ill mannered, food poor and their idea of a cocktail is rum and cheap cola, with only a choice of beer, cheap wine, dark rum and coke or white rum and coke on the all inclusive deal. Complete waste of time and money. I think maybe the minus symbol was missed from the hotel rating!!!
3 Star Hotetur Deauville in Havana
clean but very old, air conditioner didn't work
4 Star Inglaterra Hotel in Havana
Historic hotel but quite basic. Our 1st floor bedroom had no windows at all, like a dungeon. Breakfast was basic, rooftop bar is closed on Saturday and left luggage is charged extra. Good location though. We only stayed 1 night here, for the other 3 nights we stayed in a BedinCuba Casa Particular (rented an on suite double room in a private house nearby (200 meters right in old Havana). It was just as good and half the price. We also stayed in Varadero for 3 nights booked through TravelRepublic. It made a great 2 centre holiday (Havana city and Varadero beach. Took the Viazul bus (£7).
4 Star Mercure Sevilla Hotel in Havana
Lobby is lovely, rooms a little less so, but still OK. Beds comfortable, and rooms clean. Air Con. Pool area great - esp as hotel is in City Centre. Hot breakfast not great - Go to the omlette station, that is nice. Recommend you avoid the "sausage" substances. Food in Cuba pretty vile - so this is not necessarily a citicism of hotel. Cold breakfats fine. Take own tea bags to breakfast. Hotel location great, as its in between "Old" Havana, and Havana "Centro" - so well located to explore both areas. Also close to the Malecon. Lifts are fine - no queues at all now, so prob mentioned by other reveiwers must have been resolved. Safes in rooms - so reassuring place to leave valuables/cash etc.
3 Star Meson De La Flota Boutique Hotel in Havana
Rooms are nice and the breakfast is good. Beware that there is a flamenco show each night in the restaurant downstairs at 9pm which last 1.5 hours. It's great, but noisy if you are trying to sleep.
5 Star Nacional De Cuba Hotel in Havana
3 Star Park View Boutique Hotel in Havana
This hotel provided a very pleasant place to stay in the center of Havanna. The hotel lobby, rooms and restaurant were clean and the staff welcoming; the restaurant provides good views over the city. I would recommend this hotel to others.
5 Star Parque Central Hotel in Havana
There view from the hotel's roof top pool is charming and the overall service was good.
4 Star Presidente Hotel in Havana
This is what Havana is all aout! The foyer is grand, the staff are so friendly, the rooms have been grand and maybe need a lick of paint, but its Cuba...fab!!!
4 Star Raquel Boutique Hotel in Havana
Beautiful hotel in fantastic location. A bit of street noise in the morning but otherwise perfect. Would stay there again.
5 Star Santa Isabel Boutique Hotel in Havana
Great location and views from the top floor terrace. Noisy Room (noisy neighbours and creaky bed). Tried to change currency at the front desk and the rate was dependent on the staff member, quite dodgy. Breakfast was fine.
4 Star The Superclubs Breezes Jibacoa Hotel in Havana
Great hotel with private beach. Rooms cleaned daily
4 Star Tryp Havana Libre Hotel in Havana
Very good value and great views over the city. Excellent breakfast. You will need to take a taxi to get to old Havana.
