Hotel Reviews for Polis

For us this hotel village was absolutely perfect. Room was very up to date, everything needed for the self caterer. Buffet restaurant at reasonable price three courses 12 Euros, friendly waiting staff and lovley old lady cook. You do however need to check with hotel re air conditioning toaster, iron, hairdryer and safe deposit box. These may be extracharge according to which travel company you book with. Only down side was you do need a car. No entertainment , but a friendly bar until midnight. Also bed linen and towels only changed twice a week, considering water shortage in Cyprus it is understandable. Darby and Joan on reception should be changed miserable, too serious thought I was back at school. Bar manager Luke great. Hotel grounds very clean and tidy. 30 min walk to Latchi fishing village and Polis is a good 40 minute walk not for the faint hearted in the heat. All in all good value for money. 10 out of 10 for Travel Republik no problems encountered. Woul definately go again to Akamanthea Village Hotel. W Brown

Amazing value for money. Clean and had all the facilities you would need. An excellent gym and pool and beautiful reception area. We will be staying here again.

because it was very empty only one resturant was open with a set menu 67euros! and no choice, service was also poor at times as if the hotel was asleep

Beautiful gardens, very clean and apartmants serviced regularly. Pool bar only open limited hours so no availability of drinks/snacks early evening onwards. It's a good 10 minute walk to the village of Polis where there are plenty of restaurants.

good value for money very helpful staff to make your stay more welcome, good food and good outside pool. The place is in need off decoration and I understand this is due to be done over this winter.

Excellent value for money, we took a studio on the bed and breakfast option. Well run, clean and friendly in an excellent position. Taking breakfast al fresco over looking Latchi harbour was something else. Lots to do for and well organised activities for the children and the fact that the hotel has two pools, one where the activities are held and a quite pool where you can relax and just listen to waterfalls running in to the pool was just great. In the words of Arnold, I'll be back

Reservations----poor standard kitchen--no oven,toaster microwave or electric kettle. A whistling kettle is hardly modern standard!!!.Cleanliness very good both inside and out.Access to Lachi or Pollis without transport not easy and dodgy after dark due to traffic and poorly lit road.Car recomended.{I am an experienced traveller including visits to Pollis for at least 12 years]

No snacks served as not in high season. Self catering facilities were basic. Rooms were clean and regularly serviced. Pool was clean and well presented.
