i have just returned from the above resort, on arrival very disappointed with room, when booked i paid extra for room upgrade there was no upgrade my room was a standard double not a superior double like i booked. a request for none smoking room was ? taken into account but every morning the room and especially the bathroom had a strong smell of smoke, The entertainment in the hotel was very disapponting not a big enough area with no fans and not enough seating, the (crew) as the staff were called tried very hard and did their best with the space avalible. this is a adult only resort but all entertainment stopped at 10.30.

The rooms were very dark with not much lighting. Also I had no balcony or fridge when I paid the extra to have a better room, people that had paid for the basic room seemed to have better accomodation. The staff were not very friendly. We were bitten all over not sure by what. The rooms were fumergated while we were there. It is not that safe to leave the complex on your own. The food was ok but we all suffered from stomach upsets. The hotel beach which was about a 10 minute walk away was not that good you were told where you could put the sun lounger. Also there were sand flea's that bit you. Would not go back to the hotel or country again.

In the main the holiday was pleasurable with very good food and service, there are 3 issues which I need to mention, I had to request a room change due to electrial safety reasons with having a young child in the room, secondly there were a number of members of staff who claimed that they were customer service staff who would assist in any problems that occured, in reality they were pressure sales staff! I did make it very clear that the impression they were giving was false and incincere. finally, at the most important the rep from coco tours failed to turn up for the welcome meeting, and despite a number of failed attempts over the two weeks, I did not manage to speak to him at all, it was actually a rep from another company who helped in ensuring pick up times etc were provided, I would certainly not use coco tours again in the future for that reason.

The hotel was lovely,me and my boyfriend had a great time the food was nice and the people that worked there where too.The only thing that i think could be improved is the entertainment through the day and at night,but overall it was a great hotel.

I don't know how this accomodation is rated 4 star, as I have been to the Dom Rep before and this hotel is a BIG let down. It was more like "Butlins in the sun". All 3 people in my party suffered vomitting and diarrhoea as a result of the un-hygienic way the food in the buffet area was left uncovered for hours on end, and re-served at the following meal time. In the literature which was received at check-in claims there is drinking water on every corridor, this is not the case.

We stayed at this hotel last year that is why we decided to return. We were not disappointed. The staff and service are excellent. Would certainly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a very laid back relaxing holiday with no queuing.

the hotel was very suitable for teh time of year I went, but would think that the pool and surrounding area would be a little small during the busier tourist season. The restaurant was very good although again got very busy at weekends when the Donincans came to the resort.
