Euro Ski Hotel

“ We are a family of five with teenage children - the hotel was adequate for our needs.
The staff were friendly and helpful especially the reception desk, who were always ready to give helpful advice. However, the restaurant found it difficult to cope when the hotel got busier and the staff were stressed and noticeably less friendly. This was half term week and the hotel initially had more groups of younger people. However by Mon/Tues lots families arrived and perhaps all wanted to dine at the same time. The restaurant was struggling to cope. Food variety was good each day - with something for everyone - but sometimes ran out and took a little while to get replaced.
Avoid the pool/spa at half term it is not very big and full of children leaving sauna/steam room doors open - crowding out the jacuzzi etc.
Despite this - i would say we had a very enjoyable holiday - and the hotel was perfectly adequate as a base for a great skiing holiday - we did have a car (parking available).

“ The hotel was better than I was expecting. There was a buffet, hot and cold, for breakfast and dinner. The was a good choice of food to suit everyone. There were two mini-buses which took you to the gondola, the earlier you were in the morning the smaller the queue. We didnt really like the bar in the hotel, but the hotel next door had a good bar.

“ Top Tip: You could catch a bus into Soldeau on an evening but the last bus back to El Tarter was at 10pm (much too early). Anyway, it took us 20 minutes to walk back, downhill all the way. There was a supermarket close by and the hotel next door had a good bar. For lively nightlife you need to go to Soldeau.

“ Travelling with my two daughters was made very easy in this Hotel. The staff were helpful and friendly. All the ameneties advertised were working very well, the restaurant was a well stocked buffet and offered a large choice of foods. The only down side was the queue for a table. The photos of the Hotel do not do it justice, I was very pleasantly surprised. I would definately return with my children.

“ Buffet breakfast and supper very good; not haute cusine but plenty to choose from. Free Minibus transfers to and from slopes excellent; saves stomping about in the ski boots for too long!
Reception friendly and helpful. Pillows too thin but they provided us with a second very quickly when we asked. Ski shop good and handy. Free ski lockers in basement made life easier too.

“ Top Tip: Pizzas in restaurant next to Parador Canaro were excellent! Ate in all other nights as HB and too busy skiiing to eat lunch!
