Piolets Park and Spa Hotel

“ The hotel is very close to the main Gondola and can easily be reached on foot but the hotel offers a free shuttle bus literally from the locker at the hotel to the slopes, things could not be made any easier. There is also a ski hire shop at the hotel. The hotel was clean and modern and the rooms were very spacious. Check in was a breeze and the staff are very helpful and friendly. We stayed on a half board basis, there was plenty of choice for breakfast & also for evening meals. The only fault I can find is that sometimes the food was a little cold as the heaters keeping the food warm didn't seem to work very well. This did not spoil our stay and we would definately go back again.

“ Top Tip: There are bars and restaurants within a five minute stroll.

“ Room too small,my children had to sleep on a sofabed together,girl aged 10 and boy aged 8,this was not appropiate and uncormfortable for seven days.The room was too hot and we could not adjust the tempreture so we had to sleep with the patio doors open and then of course we got the noise of shouting and traffic,etc from the street/main road.The food at this hotel is dreadfull and after a few nights of chips and bread we decided to go out for real food (shame when you have paid for half board).The hotel looks lovely,has a modern design,the gym and spa are nice (spa extra) rooms are clean and staff are professional,i did mention the room,size,heating control,and they did say they would look at the control of the heating but nothing changed.I would not stay at this hotel again because of the food and the size of the room.

“ The Good:
Superb hotel, great staff and completed with fine food.
Close to the ski slopes and an excellent area to be in for a luxury ski break. Highly recommended.

The Bad:
Only irritation are the amenities are all chargeable in addition to the hotel booking fees, this isn't clear on the website and the difficult staff on the Spa reception couldn't be more hostile if they tried. They let the rest down.

“ Top Tip: All of the ski slopes are great, food is expensive as you expect from a resort but the locals are friendly - its worth the trip to the Capital for a few hours.

“ I really liked the hotel but thought that the room was a little small for a family of 4. We would ask for a suite next time.

“ Top Tip: The slopes were only 200 metres away and the hotel bus was very useful to take your skis. There was also a great super market in EL Tartar (on 3 floors).
