However, the taxi that was meant to meet us at the airport was not there and it was over 30 minutes before we got a replacement and had to give the driver some of our paperwork so his firm could claim from the airport taxi firm. going back was fine.

K+K Palais was a charming hotel located with in the ring road in the North of Vienna. The area is nice, very quiet and near to local transport links. The hotel itself is fairly small and probably wouldn't make to spend a day there. However the rooms are lovely and spacious and the staff are just fantastic.
Right the way through from initial email contact to checking out , everything went smoothly.
The breakfast is very nice, with a good variety of options (healthy/unhealthy), the porter/general staff are very nice, oif there was a problem they would deal with it promptly.
We got engaged in Vienna and we were given drinks on the house at the bar, and the following morning they left champagne and chocolates in our room.
Would recommend 100%
Only down point was that the lift is slow, and one was broken for the weekend. But hey you cant have everything!!

“ Reception staff very helpful re transport, attractions etc. Buffet breakfast excelent with plenty of choices including smoked salmon. Bedroom was OK for 3 people. Hotel is in a quiet location but within a 10 minute walk to city centre and underground. Would definitely stay here again.
