“ The location superb: right by the cathedral, pedestrianised shopping/cafe streets and arcades, and underground.

Bedroom large, comfortable and clean with parquet wood floors; excellent bath/shower room.

Service polite and fairly efficient.

Food (breakfast) not really to my taste. Cereals and yogurt OK but onlyTINNED fruit on offer...apart from oranges and unripe pears. And scrambled egg really hard, dry and congealed. Uninspiring selection of meats and cheeses. Restaurant staff very polite and helpful.

Decor: Bright modern entrance, but inside old-fashioned Viennese style which might put off young people.

I'd definitely recommend it with above reservations, and stay there again myself.

“ Me and my partner had a really wonderful time. The hotel staff are helpfull and understanding. It's quiet yet right next to everything, could not be in a better place. There is a subway exit next to the hotel and a super market if you want too. There's so much to do in Vienna I would go back again.

“ Top Tip: The horse and cart ride costs a bit but worth the money as you get to find your way around and see things you would no normal see.

“ Excellent location , right in the centre of Vienna within walking distance of all the interesting and worthwhile places to visit. Friendly , clean well appointed family run hotel certainly recommend to anyone visiting Vienna.

“ Top Tip: Trattoria Santo Stefano , part of same group , excellent Italian , very friendly , good menu well cooked. Very enjoyable. Local Patisserie, Gerstner , cakes to die for ! good friendly service and good value, well worth visit when in Vienna.

“ The hotel is right behind the cathedral, and has a metro station 1minute walk from the door. A nice selection of hot and cold foods at the buffet breakfast, the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. There is a roof top restaurant with lovely views over the cathedral.

“ Top Tip: We found a restaurant called Zu Den 3 Hacken which is on the same street as the hotel, very friendly staff, large portions of traditional Viennese food and reasonably priced. It is very popular with the locals and had a lovely atmosphere.
