“ Staff at hotel very helpful. Unfortunately beach poor mainly caused by erosion, Food variety very good, plenty of choice. Rooms good well kept and cleaned . Better beaches up the coast like Mullins. Weather poor for much of holiday , lots of rain but warm.Would try another hotel next time like The Sandpiper or Chrystal Beach,

We were not scheduled to stay at this hotel as our booked hotel was still closed for renovations. We were offered the much more expensive option of Mango Bay Hotel which proved to be an extremely good alternative. The staff in all areas are very attentive in every aspect and keen to make the stay special. The all-inclusive option was generous (i.e. alcoholic drinks) and the food very good with little repetition over our 14 night stay. The beach is not overly large but there is plenty of space for people to sunbathe. There is evening entertainment each night some better than others. The hotel is not large and it is therefore easy to make friends with other guests and enjoy drinks and chat during those warm evenings
The only criticism I have of this hotel is it's proximity to a quite noisy (only, though, probably twice a week) bar which hosts karaoke - this went on until 5 am once. The only rooms that seem to be affected by the noise (one of which we occupied) are the block to the left of reception when facing the sea. The rooms started with a number 4. Definitely have some wax earplugs (available from Boots) if you are likely to be given one of these 'standard' rooms.
“ Top Tip: St James Church, a few minutes walk away is a lovely place - it can be reached by walking along the shore if the tide is not in or walk along the (safe) road. A bit farther away - by bus, very cheap - is Speightstown and the Arlington Museum there is worth going to. Try to hire a Minimoke for a day (£65 locally) but possibly cheaper if booked in the UK and go to the Atlantis Hotel on the East coast - fabulous views and food.
