Our arrival and booking -in was very good.
A lift would have been nice, but there is'nt one, which the eldely persons we met was a problem.
The rooms are very clean and comfy even if the furniture is a bit dated. The maids do a super job daily.
The resteraunt is very good and reasonable but their are so many resteraunts in the area you are spoilt for choice.
Super Beaches close by
Great location though from which to tour the Island and transport on the island is brilliant

my partner and i (mid twenties) have just returned from a weeks holiday at the yellow bird. we had a fantastic time there! we stayed in the basic room and it had everything we needed from pots and pans in the kitchen to a hairdryer in the bedroom. The balcony looked out onto the beach and the room was imaculate with maid service everyday! The staff were friendly and the bar/restaurant was also good. The pool was small, but again very clean!
The hotel is in a good location just on the edge of st lawrence gap and therefore near plenty other bars and restaurants. Previous to my visit i was slightly apprehensive as i read that some people who stayed at the yellow bird were effected by noise from the bars at night. There was music at times but it was never so loud that it effected either myself or my partner from sleeping.
Although the hotel looks out onto the beach its not a beach for sunbathing as it mainly has boats in it. however, there is a great beach just a 10 minute walk away.
i thouroughly enjoyed my stay here and would definately stay again at the yellow bird. For the price of the place in comparison to other hotels in barbados it is an absolute bargain and great value for money!

Top Tip:
great beaches everywhere just ask the staff at the hotel and theyll point you in the right directions!
Oistins on a friday night is a must for all ages! the local fishermen get together and cook there catch of the day! best and cheapest meal we ate all week! the atmosphere is brilliant with a mixture of locals and tourists. you can get the bus there for bd$1.50 (again ask the hotel staff and they'll tell you were to catch it from)

Hotel very close to noisy nightlife. Music could be heard till 3.30am every night.
We were ok because we had earplugs but for families with children i think it would be a problem. Apart from the noise we had avery good holiday.
“ Top Tip: Take plenty of money!!!

“ The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean and kitchen was well equipped. Lovely view of Little Bay St Lawrences Gap from Balcony.
“ Top Tip: We found a lovely secluded beach approx 12 mins walk away where two turtles can been seen only a few hundred yards out to sea. popping up every now and again for air. We also saw baby turtles hatching out of their nest in the sand and making their way to the water on this beach.
