“ I read lots of reviews before we booked this hotel & thought people were having a general moan & probably exaggerating but I'm afraid about 90% of them were spot on. This hotel really is tierd & a little musty, You do hear plenty of noise outside & it is next to the red light district, although you can avoid the red light area as the city centre is in the opposite direction. On a possitive note the location is ideal & the rooms were spacious. Although it is not the greatest hotel in the world we didn't let it dissapoint us & spoil are stay in Brussels, We still had a fantastic time. If you have already booked then just accept it for what it is & enjoy the city, If you havn't booked yet then I really would consider another hotel.Try the spicy noodles for breakfast at your own peril,I got back home about a week ago & I still think i'm chewing on some of them! If I ever return to Brussels I will definitely be staying at a different hotel, But at the end of the day you get what you pay for!!
“ Top Tip: go to floor -1 in Brussels airport, You can catch a train to the north (noord) station for about 5.50 euro each, Its 1 or 2 stops. Do a right out of north station & walk for about 2 mins (through the red light area!!) & the chao chow is on your left. Also a 3 day travel pass for local metro,bus,trams, was 9.80 euro each, great value.
