The hotel opened in July 2005 and offers relaxing and comfortable accommodation in wonderful surroundings. The hotel comprises 225 rooms over 5 floors. Guests have at their disposal a 24-hour reception, hotel safe, restaurant, lobby bar, laundry service, publicly available Internet access, parking and a beauty salon.This hotel is located near the centre of Sunny Beach, only 200 m from the nearest stretch of sandy coastline. Sunny Beach is the largest resort on the Black Sea coast and its 8 km stretch of fine sands curves around a semicircular bay.
The sea is calm with no tides and the beach slopes gently into the water - perfect for children. The resort also offers extensive nightlife making it a popular choice for a lively holiday in Bulgaria. The nearby mountains provide cooling air making the evenings a pleasant temperature. Bourgas Airport and Varna Airport are 30 km and 110 km away respectively.Each room features centrally regulated air conditioning and heating, direct dial telephone, satellite TV, minibar, en suite bathroom with bathtub and hairdryer, and a balcony.
Double rooms come with a kingsize bed or twin beds. Some of the rooms have an extra bed to accommodate a third person. Family rooms are bigger than the others and are ideal for families with two children. The apartments include two inter-connected bedrooms with 2 separate bathrooms, 2 TVs, 2 minibars and a big balcony.The hotel offers an outdoor pool and a children's pool, a pool bar, sun loungers, parasols, a fitness hall and massages. Many water sport activities are available on the beach, including a diving school, jet skiing and paragliding.Clients have to provide the hotel the approximate time of arriving.

“ Great hotel,staff were nice and friendly the hotel was spotless clean and breakfast was not bad.Evening meal was not good at all but it was edible.
“ Top Tip: Just walk over the road past club orange around the corner and you are at the beach.

The food in the Lion hotel was awful. There was absolutely no choice at all. There was only 2 things to choose from for your evening meal. The breakfast was no better. Myself and my husband ended up eating out most of the time which we didn't really budget for as I have never stayed somewhere where you couldn't eat something.
Also, there was no entertainment on day or night so there was nothing to keep the children occupied.

Top Tip:
Molinas bar by the Central was great. Good food, 50p a pint and cocktails 2 for 1.

“ Rooms were fine. Food not very good. Restaurant and lounge area not big enough for number of people staying! Road outside was flooded and almost impassable! Only saw the sun for two and a half days, rained solid for three and a half days!

“ We were met at Burgas Airport by the driver of the Resort Hopper, a Bulgarian man who didn`t speak one word of English. The lack of communication added another 30 + minutes to our travelling time which was frustrating and not the best of starts. That out of the way, the Hotel was of a good standard with helpful friendly staff, most of which had a good grasp of the English language which was appreciated. Clean towels via a daily Room Service were provided. We went half-board for 2 weeks and really tried to get into the local cuisine but at the end of week 1, we couldn`t handle the menu at the hotel any longer, it was uninspiring and repetative.
“ Top Tip: Despite what I`ve written so far, I would still go back to the resort but on the basis of 1 week (max) Room only and a little earlier in the season to optimise on the sunshine.
