A good hotel with helpful staff but air conditioning was not working,a fact the staff did not readily accept(ambient temperature 35degs).Eventually we were upgraded to a suite which although cooler had no A/C.We were told it would be repaired by next day.It wasn`t.
I suspect the high temperature was unusual for the time of year and it was policy not to use A/C.I have had this experience in Italy where the A/C is ONLY used in July and August

“ About 15 mins from Sofia Airport in a taxi. Friendly and efficient staff who spoke good English. Breakfast was great with an excellent choice and served until around 11am!!! Rooms were well furnished, advisable to ask for non-smoking as even those smelled of smoke.
