The hotel looks very impressive on arrival and we were checked in very quickly although we did arrive early hours of the morning. Our room was very spacious and we did have a king size bed which was quite comfortable.
We went all-inclusive and were very disappointed as the meals were basically the same all week long and you had to clear your own table and set it if you wanted a clean table. We did complain about the state of the dining area and were told they had a large conference which had taken most of the staff but this would be rectified the following day. We were up-graded to the Level all-inclusive for our evening meal and breakfast the next morning and after that would return to our normal restaurant. The Level restaurant was more relaxed with the tables prepared and cleared as they should be but the food was just the same as the other restaurant.
Where the food was so bad we thought we would pay the extra for the al-a-carte restaurant but on going there we were told we could not go there that night or the night after as they were booked for the conference this is what led us to complain.
There was suppose to be entertainment at the hotel every night this in fact was only 2 nights when we stayed.
The best part of this hotel were the staff who were all polite and tried to do their best for you.
If we were to use this hotel again it would be because the hotel is very clean and the staff are really excellent but we would go room only or bed and breakfast at a push. All-inclusive is really not worth it and there are plenty of restaurants within the area.
“ Top Tip: There is a free shuttle bus service from the hotel Golden Yavor which is round the corner from Melia Grand Hermitage going to Grand Mall Varna and you pick it up outside the Mall to return should you want to go shopping or see a different area.
