“ Standard double was small but cosy and ideal as a base from which to explore the city. Queen size, comfortable bed. Excellent maid service. Big TV, shower with a decent whoosh-force. No view to speak of (was an inner room looking on to a fire escape) but as we weren't planning on spending much time in the room this was no problem. Good (and free!) wifi available in the room was a bonus. Helpful staff. Public areas (lift, reception, halls etc) could do with an upgrade but are clean and tidy enough
“ Top Tip: If you're going for a day exploring via public transit, get a day pass from the 7/11 before you go (NB - you can't buy these on the bus). At $9 (CAD) they cover you for the Seabus to the North Shore, all buses, and the skytrain, and are low hassle as you don't have to worry about being within the hour and a half limit for use of single tickets.

“ The hotel is an average 3-star hotel. Service was up to standard. Room was clean (every day), although window couldn't open, so was a bit stuffy. Downside of the hotel was the noise level both in and outside the hotel (especially in the weekend, because there are a lot of bars/clubs around). Also, if you're looking for an atmospheric hotel go someplace else (or if you want breakfast, because they don't serve it). All in all a good hotel in terms of (bath)rooms and service, but not so good in terms of noise and style/atmosphere.
“ Top Tip: Within a 5-10 min walk from the hotel (also on Granville street) is a great Japanese restaurant called Kitto. Very cheap and excellent quality.
