“ superb location for anyone planning to tour Vancouver as it is central to lost tourist sites / amenities. The hotel is everything you would expect from a Fairmont - great rooms excellent facilities etc. The location next to the skytrain is particularly useful.
“ Top Tip: there is a food court directly underneath the hotel - buy breakfast here for 5 dollars all in - also public transport is only $2.50 to go anywhere - including Grouse Mountain and North Vancouver on a weekend day.

The Fairmont Waterfront Vancouver was elegant, rooms much larger than normal and bed enormous and so comfortable. Lovely toiletries. The staff were charming and very willing to help in any way. Try the Viper Cocktail in the Heron Lounge and you will sleep even better!
Only criticism the coffee (in room) was ghastly but this may be due to the fact that Vancouver water tastes as though it came strait from the swimming pool! They may also like to add a couple of biscuits to go with it.
“ Top Tip: Perfect if you are joining an Alaskan Cruise from Vancouver as it is literally over the road from Hotel and the Bellboy will arrange to have your bags delivered to your ,aboard ship, at no extra cost leaving you to sauntert over to the Cruise Terminal when you are ready. Best location too for Shops, restaurants and a lovely walk along the Waterfront. Try Lift for great food and views.

“ We had a fire alarm at 4.30am during our stay. There was no commun ication from hotel management whatsoever. Ther were very few staff in evidence. Those that were appeared to be young & junior. In addition I was on crutches & had to evacuate 20 flights of stairs. The leisure facilities are very poor standars. I would expect better from this supposedly upper market hotel chain. I cut my foot on the swimming pool floor. My wife slipped & fell in the whirlpool area. All in all an extremely poor performance
“ Top Tip: Gastown district is right next to the hotel. But take care, as if you wander too far the adjacent district is not very pleasant - full of down & outs.
