“ I have just returned from a weeks visit to the Sabura hotel. It was exactly as it was described, quiet, very clean and delightful. All of the staff were very helpful and 3 meals a day was often too much! but a good choice, freshly cooked and hot.
Ideal for a relaxing holiday, a pleasant stroll to the beach, to walk off all that food!! Santa Maria is a small village but plenty of choice for bars and restaurants, if thats what you want.

“ Top Tip: Take a right hand turn out of the hotel, avoid the large overly large hotel opposite and take a walk to the dunes. Fab!!

“ Stylish, quiet, understated. An almost new establishment with a strong sense of design, although sometimes appearance seemed to matter more than function: the two "zen" swimming pools - shaped liked commas - for example. The rooms were reasonably spacious, and most of the fittings - mattress, bathroom suite etc - were of good quality. All the rooms faced the rectangular courtyard where the pools lay surrounded by neat strips of surprisingly green grass and banana trees. We only ate breakfast at the hotel - which was plentiful and included nicely presented fruit and omelettes/crepes made to order. Other couples on an inclusive package seemed very happy with meals provided. It was very peaceful - suited us - when we were there, but families or couples wanting more entertainment might be disappointed, as would those not wanting to walk 15 minutes to the beach (although gorgeous and worth the walk) Staff were pleasant and helpful, and unobtrusive. We really enjoyed our stay and would choose the Sabura over most of the other hotels we observed there.

“ Top Tip: There are some "Saharan" dunes to the right/North as you approach the beach that provide a perfect sunset photoshoot location. Further up the Ponta Preta beach is a small restaurant and the sands give way to rocks: we had very good snorkelling here.

“ very clean and staff helpfull, only everytime we wanted to pay for our drinks/food they did'nt have any change as wedid'nt go all inclusive , the last day of our stay their electric and water was cut off and it was taking some time to reconect was offered to stay at another hotel however we decided to stay the last night due to flying out the next day , we managed !!!

“ Top Tip: very nice beach area with lovely sand dunes, and not far to walk into santa maria on average 20-30 mins for most bars,restuarants
