Sobrado Hotel

For a three star hotel is was excellant and cant praise the staff there enough

They were kind helpful and would certainly go out of there way for you

It was clean and cleaned daily and the breakfast was for a continental breakfast

Spot on Just ashame you rep let us down badly in fact never made an appeareance

because we were the only british in the hotel and we needed him to sort our travel

arrangements who ever he was needs addressing too because we got quite worried

at one point which was a shame for the rest of the holiday was execellant

“ Top Tip: Tam Tam bar was the best also Cafe Culture were friendly locals and Cafe Chill were good fun

“ hotel sobrado is not a three star hotel . we stayed two nights and that was enough. Good points clean bedding proprietors helpfull.bad points breakfast was a joke . no choice at all,but at lest the crockery was not broken. the hotel is gruby ,no aircon and the fans dance and squeak all night.this is not a good place to stay if its your first trip to cape verde .

“ Top Tip: restaurant Americas was about a five min walk It was full the night we went.

“ Hotel was clean, rooms well maintained with maid service each day and linen change every other day. Breakfast was average. No other meals provided. Not a good location, on the edge of town. 10 minute walk to beach.

“ Top Tip: There is nothing in Santa Maria that we found of any interest. Restaurants are expensive and of general poor quality food.
Would not recommend this resort !! We left a week early

“ Although the Hotel Sobrado was quite near the beach, it was right at the very entrance to Santa Maria and so it was quite a walk to the nicer hotels and beaches, i.e. Papaya and Odj etc. The hotel was undergoing major renovations on the second floor, the builders were banging and crashing for 12 hours every day of the week, including Sundays, so no chance of peace and quiet. If that wasn't bad enough, they were laying tarmac on the roads outside aswell!!! It would have been nice to have been forewarned about the renovations. That said, the guy on the reception was lovely, very polite and did apologise for the disturbance. He said they would finish at 4pm but that didn't happen. Our room was basic but clean, maids came in every day. The pool was virtually unusable and for children was really dangerous. The Bar was very limited, but, the breakfast was surprisingly excellent every morning.
