I would have loved to stay longer at this hotel, however we were travelling on to Chengdu so it was not possible.
The hotel was a welcome break from trekking on the Great Wall, just gorgeous.
“ Top Tip: We ate in the hotel for breakfast, lovely & the restaurant at the Sofitel on the square was lovely for dinner.

The Grand Mercure Renmin Sqaure is a lovely hotel within a complex with other Accor hotels, including the Mercure and Sofitel. Guests staying at the Grand Mercure can use the gym, swimming pool facilities of the Sofitel hotel.
The buffet breakfast was very good with a good variation and different options of chinese and continental choices.
The hotel is walking distance, approx 15 minute walk to the main square with the Bell Tower.
I would defintely go back and stay at this hotel again.
Also the local bus stops are just outside the hotel if you want to take the bus!
