I was given a room in Asterea 2, which is further away from the main building and rooms are not as good. I explained to the hotel that I had paid for asterea 1, initially I was told there was no room left in asterea 1, I was not going to take it, and after a mild degree of resistance, I was given a room in asterea 1.
The rooms in Asterea 1 were good, clean, reasonably well furbished, got cleaned daily, comfortable and certainly allowed good nights' sleep. Breakfast was served in time, dinner was buffet with varied choices. Overall, a good place to stay

If you want some peace and quiet, then do not stay in the main central hotel building, as the Piano Bar adjoining reception plays live/loud music until 11:00 pm every night. Also lots of buses pull up outside and the drivers leave the engines running.
The staff are very helpful and courteous, and they all speak english.
Good buffet breakfast and evening meal.
“ Top Tip: Catch the passenger boat to Cavtat and then onto Dubrovnik and back to Mlini with a return ticket for a good day out.

Grand Hotel Park - Dubrovnik is located in the centre of Dubrovnik, surrounded by a rich Mediterranean vegetation full of intensive colours and fragrances in its very carefully kept parks and are situated on the peaceful peninsula Lapad, on a promenade 200 metres from a lovely pebble beach. As well as being well known for the kindness of its personnel, the hotel offers various facilities for guests to enjoy such as indoor and outdoor pools, and there are some tennis courts located 100 metres away. All the rooms have Satellite TV, minibar, telephone, hairdryer and air-conditioning.
“ The staff were really pleasent, helpful and nice. The food was very good for a buffet, though could do with a bit more vegetarian meals. Access to spa and swimming pools. I really liked it. Easy access to a bus into town. Dull main bar unless someone was playing but affordable prices compared to main parts in Dubrovnik

“ This was our first visit, and we found the hotel just right for our purposes as two active pensioners. The room, food and personnel were first rate, while we enjoyed being within the city walls. Nonetheless, it is simple to get to public transport and taxis, and the cable car to the mountain top is close by.

“ Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed the hotel Orphee. It had plenty to do including Swimming, Archery and the beach is a stones throw away. There was only 1 restaurant in walking distance but it wasn't hard to jump on a number 10 bus and travel into other towns where plenty more was on offer. Would definatley go back!
