Be carefull when you book this hotel as the Asterea 2 is actually the annex, this is seperate to the hotel and a walk from all the facilities & the rooms are not very nice. I booked rooms with a sea view for my wife and I and my parents, we were given 2 rooms on the bottom floor where you could only see trees! I complained and was told there was no more rooms but eventually did get the keys for another 2 rooms on the next floor up, again the view was of trees, after a long stand off in the reception and a few choice words we were given the 3dr floor rooms and these did have a sea view, I have stayed in better formula 1 hotels rooms than these.
The hotel is very nice, clean and well staffed, we only had breakfast in the hotel & food we had there was good. Mlini is very nice with plenty of bars and restaraunts to choose from but please be aware there is lots & lots &lots of cats about.

One of the oldest hotels in Dubrovnik, the Komodor offers a good standard of accommodation and a great choice of facilities. The hotel is surrounded by bars, cafes and restaurants and just 4 km from the old town offering a convenient location with the benefit of overlooking the Adriatic and a small beach only 100 metres away. Relax by the outdoor swimming pool with a drink from the poolside bar or discover the sights in the surrounding areas. All rooms are well furnished, air conditioned and feature satellite TV.
“ Staff- freindly and helpful Rooms- Clean, quiet small and could due with updating. Food- Good Close to pebble beach- 70Kuna to hire 2x sunbed and one umbrella Only a short bus journey to the old town.

Hotel Kompas is located near the beach in Dubrovnik and close to Lapad Beach, Copacabana Beach, and Onofrio's Fountain. Nearby points of interest also include Franciscan Monastery and Orlando's Column. Hotel Kompas's restaurant serves breakfast and dinner. A poolside bar and a bar/lounge are open for drinks. “ The staff were very helpful, but the food, particularly in the evening, was expensive and of a poor standard. Breafasts were OK

“ The beaches are a short walk with Copacabana having sunbeds, umbrellas for hire - 60 kuna and 30 kuna a day - but shingle. Access to the sea for swimming and a cafe on site. Hotel pool is spacious and not busy when we visited from 2 to 9 September.

“ I was given a room in Asterea 2, which is further away from the main building and rooms are not as good. I explained to the hotel that I had paid for asterea 1, initially I was told there was no room left in asterea 1, I was not going to take it, and after a mild degree of resistance, I was given a room in asterea 1.
