“ The incredibly punctual shuttle bus was a real bonus offering convenient access to everything on offer in the wonderful town centre. It was great to be able to swim in the warm sea right next to the hotel and be provided with a ready supply of beach towels. Hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. Top quality hotel.

Stunning views. No actual beach, but access to Adriatic via steps on rocks with safe swim area cordoned off. Plenty of sunbeds, but as usual people do leave towels on them before breakfast to reserve them! Breakfast quality of food and selection was fantastic, as was service. We chose half board, but would not do so again. The food was of high quality, but not much variety and no atmosphere in restaurant.
Rooms were well maintained and cleaning service was good, decor of a good standard, but certainly not the best we have stayed in.
Hotel shuttle bus service hourly from early morning to midday, then starts again from 6.30pm to 9.30pm. When this is not available, there is a local bus which runs every 15mins which starts and finishes at the Hotel, this costs 12 Kunas pp to Dubrovnik Old town, and is a great service.

Top Tip:
We actually found out about some places in Lapad after we returned home :-(
This is about 10 minute walk downhill from the hotel, but a good twenty minutes uphill on way back, but it sounds like there is a nice pedestrianised area and some bars/retaurants on the seafront - check it out!
Have used travel republic 3 or 4 times now, and their service is fantastic!

“ Very nice relaxing hotel. Germans (and Russions) always won to get the best sunbeds by the pool, but other than than, extremely enjoyable hotel and Dubrovnic was wonderful.

“ Excellent 3 star hotel (more like 4 star except decor a bit tatty in places and pool not cleaned very well). Staff were nice if you approach them with a smile. Location and facilities were very good. Definitely recommended as brilliant value for money in a lovely setting.

“ Thought the Hotel was excellent and the location brilliant - just a leisurely 10 minute walk from Dubrovnik Old Town. The rooms were very good with huge beds and spotlessly clean. The outdoor pool area stunning with fantastic views over the busy Adriatic and there never seemed to be a problem getting a sunbed.

“ We had a beautiful room with wonderful views - very large with a very large bathroom with full bath plus shower. The staff could not have been more helpful - nothing seemed too much trouble for them.

“ The Hotel LaPad was excellent. Both the hotel generally, and our room were modern clean and comfortable. There were two or three restaurants near to the hotel. There was a bus stop ouside with buses every 10 minutes to the Old Town where there was a terrific choice of eating places.

“ Excellent hotel in a brilliant location very close to the Pile gate into the old town. The staff were without exception helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and well equipped - the only comment I would make was that our room (135) was next to the lift down to the fitness centre, so it started operating early!
