Surrounded by pine forests and directly next to the clear blue Adriatic, Hotel Neptun offers a peaceful retreat, yet only a short distance away from the old town of Dubrovnik. It is situated 5 kilometres away from the Old town; there is a regular bus line connecting the hotel and Old town (15 minutes drive) every 15 minutes. Featuring 2 outdoor swimming pools, a fitness centre, an excellent restaurant and lounge bar all set in attractive gardens and surroundings. Rooms are set over 2 buildings - the main Pavilion building and Neptun I. All rooms are of a good standard and comfortably furnished.

“ Hotel is in a great location with a great beach area. Staff are really helpful. The downside is that the decor of the hotel is a bit dated for the price but so are most of the hotels in the area it seems.

“ The Neptun has a very picturesque location with plentiful sea views. The lower pool area which borders onto the sea edge has great positions to dive from the rocks into the sea. It also allows for great views whilst lying on the sun-loungers looking out across the sea. The Zoe restaurant on-site did excellent food, and we had a few good meals there. There isn't much else in the immediate vicinity, but buses are very regular (every 10 mins in the day, and running until 2.30am) running you into Dubrovnik old town. The bus stop is only a minute or so walk from the hotel.

Top Tip:
Use the No.6 bus to go to and from Dubrovnik.
Check out Cafe Buza overlooking the sea in Dubrovnik old town, it is just beyond the city walls at the southern tip.

We stayed at the hotel for a wedding. The lunch menu was limited if you did not want a full meal and it seems quite a way from any local restaurants.
Saving that, reception were extremely helpful with booking taxi's, a restaurant for dinner in the old town for a party of over 20 people!
The above avergae is for the room standard, sea view, having more than one pool, helpfulness of reception and fantastic cocktails!!!

“ Absolutely superb, the best hotel I've stayed in anywhere in the world, superb staff, great facilities, ideal location, perfect.
“ Top Tip: A trip up the cable car in the Old Town at dusk is a must, watch the sun come down over the Elafiti islands to the west and the lights of the town twinkle.

“ Perfect location with stunning views, and just a short bus ride from the Old Town. Stayed in this Hotel in October 2009. Sadly the standard of food hasn't improved.

Grand Hotel Park - Dubrovnik is located in the centre of Dubrovnik, surrounded by a rich Mediterranean vegetation full of intensive colours and fragrances in its very carefully kept parks and are situated on the peaceful peninsula Lapad, on a promenade 200 metres from a lovely pebble beach. As well as being well known for the kindness of its personnel, the hotel offers various facilities for guests to enjoy such as indoor and outdoor pools, and there are some tennis courts located 100 metres away. All the rooms have Satellite TV, minibar, telephone, hairdryer and air-conditioning.
“ The staff were really pleasent, helpful and nice. The food was very good for a buffet, though could do with a bit more vegetarian meals. Access to spa and swimming pools. I really liked it. Easy access to a bus into town. Dull main bar unless someone was playing but affordable prices compared to main parts in Dubrovnik

“ The beaches are a short walk with Copacabana having sunbeds, umbrellas for hire - 60 kuna and 30 kuna a day - but shingle. Access to the sea for swimming and a cafe on site. Hotel pool is spacious and not busy when we visited from 2 to 9 September.

“ The Hotel LaPad was excellent. Both the hotel generally, and our room were modern clean and comfortable. There were two or three restaurants near to the hotel. There was a bus stop ouside with buses every 10 minutes to the Old Town where there was a terrific choice of eating places.
