Me and my girlfriend really enjoyed the hotel Orphee.
It had plenty to do including Swimming, Archery and the beach is a stones throw away.
There was only 1 restaurant in walking distance but it wasn't hard to jump on a number 10 bus and travel into other towns where plenty more was on offer.
Would definatley go back!

“ Very clean , food much better than all the reviews suggested. Fabulous location and views especially if trees were trimmed. Beds and pillows comfortable . Staff could be made to smile if you worked at it :) . Would not recommend staying here without a car though , long walk all uphill into Plat and nothing much there anyway. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay , but only because we had a hire car.
“ Top Tip: Dubrovnik is about 12 miles away and the old town is very picturesque and ok for a day ,but was too touristy for us so we headed further north off the beaten track towards Korcula.

“ Dubrovnik fantastic place and the pool/location of the Orphee next to the sea is excellent. Only downside is poor restaurant facilities, ie one ancient 2 slice two bob Philips toaster available for 200 or so guests laughable, as are the hot drinks machines. Why do these places make such false economies, minimal investment in better catering equipment would make breakfast a pleasure, as well as not having to be quizzed about our room numbers when showing up for breakfast everyday - ok for first two days but after that how the same member of staff didn't know who I was got a bit tedious. Service at restaurant for lunch also extremely poor, particularly given the dearth of restuarants nearby and the mini market needs to stock more. However rooms basic but tidy as was the linen and shower hot and powerful, bus to Dubrovnik and boat to Cavtat also very useful.
“ Top Tip: Good restaurant along the beach from the hotel one, wortha visit if not eating in Dubrovnik. Otherwise get the boat from the hotel harbour to Cavtat, excellent service, ask at reception - 20 kuner a pop.

“ This is a lovely 3*hotel in a small resort of apartments & the hotel in a pretty bay with a fabulous pool and outside area. You can dine inside or out and there are 2 other venues to eat/drink too. Boats leave the tiny harbour each day for Dubrovnik or Cavtat. The waiting-on staff are a bit dour, don't smile a lot but the entertainment staff are v friendly, hard working & do everything possible to entertain and amuse adults & children. The poolside music did get too loud which spoilt the atmosphere but it was turned off midday. We did find a piece of glass in a seafood risotto at the poolside bar & we were told Chef said it hadn't come from his kitchen & that itmight have been in the rice!! We were offered a desert as compensation which was insulting. The meal was included in the bill but we declined to pay for it.
“ Top Tip: We ate out twice at the Sunset Restaurant & the foodhere was fabulous with sunset views and wide open windows to watch it. Fabulous !
