The first time I have stayed at this hotel. I have stayed twice next door and was not happy with the service or food.
The President ticked all the boxes and I wouls most definitely stay there again.
Only area of concern was the lack of adequate sound insulation in the rooms. You could clearly hear people talking whilst walking past the room, normally not too much of a problem except when a whole group is moving out early in the morning.

We were very pleased with this hotel. There was free parking at the hotel for our hire car and we were warmly greeted on our arrival. Our double room was air conditioned, clean and comfortable and had a lovely view over the sea. One of the best parts of the hotel was its beach which was free to use for guests and the hotel kindly allowed us use of the facilities on our check-out day as we had a late afternoon flight.
The food was good, being a buffet service (breakfast and dinner), with a lot of food to choose from (although mostly meat and fish for any vegetarians!). While the hotel staff were generally very friendly, we didn't feel this extended to the restaurant where staff were fairly cold and not particularly welcoming, which marred the experience a little.
Location wise, it was a fair distance to walk from the centre of Dubrovnik although the no. 6 bus stopped literally outside the hotel and was very frequent allowing transport to the centre and the old town taking about 20mins. There were a few restaurants within walking distance of the hotel but not that many.
Overall, we would greatly recommend, particularly to those looking for a beach (albeit pebbly!) holiday.

Top Tip:
We really enjoyed the boat excursion to the 3 Elaphite islands (Kolocep, Lopud, and Šipan) which left from the hotel beach which was very convenient.
Climbing the walls in the Old Town was also fantastic - the views were amazing! We would also recommend hiring a car to get round the country (would particularly recommend trekking out to Orebic and that area of the country which is slightly off the tourist track).

In the opinion of both myself and my wife the hotel fully lived up to its 4* rating, The decor and design of the hotel in general does have a classic look about it. Its very clean throughout and the room with sea view / en-suite and a big comfortable bed was very nice. The food was also very good with a varied menu that should suit the great majority of people irrespective of the culture or country you come from, and the views from the outer dining area were stunning at sun set looking across the Adriatic ocean. The hotel staff themselves contributed towards a very nice holiday with a welcoming and professional approach. The hotel is 6Kil from Dubrovnik old town but with the bus terminal outside the hotel you were their in around 15 minuets.
In all a very nice holiday at a very nice hotel.

Grand Hotel Park - Dubrovnik is located in the centre of Dubrovnik, surrounded by a rich Mediterranean vegetation full of intensive colours and fragrances in its very carefully kept parks and are situated on the peaceful peninsula Lapad, on a promenade 200 metres from a lovely pebble beach. As well as being well known for the kindness of its personnel, the hotel offers various facilities for guests to enjoy such as indoor and outdoor pools, and there are some tennis courts located 100 metres away. All the rooms have Satellite TV, minibar, telephone, hairdryer and air-conditioning.
“ The staff were really pleasent, helpful and nice. The food was very good for a buffet, though could do with a bit more vegetarian meals. Access to spa and swimming pools. I really liked it. Easy access to a bus into town. Dull main bar unless someone was playing but affordable prices compared to main parts in Dubrovnik

“ The beaches are a short walk with Copacabana having sunbeds, umbrellas for hire - 60 kuna and 30 kuna a day - but shingle. Access to the sea for swimming and a cafe on site. Hotel pool is spacious and not busy when we visited from 2 to 9 September.

“ Excellent hotel in a brilliant location very close to the Pile gate into the old town. The staff were without exception helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and well equipped - the only comment I would make was that our room (135) was next to the lift down to the fitness centre, so it started operating early!
