“ Upon booking.it did not.give the option to book a double bed but twin room. luckyly they changed at the reception. Worth to book half board if you tired and dont want to bother 20mins bus drive to the restaurants. food not perfect but did the job. rooms a litrle run down but clean but new bathroom. hotel can be a liutle more organised as I need to go to the next door sister hotels retion to get the tickets required for towels. free wifi.

“ Top Tip: Negotiate with the taxi drivers. tariff to airport says 300 kunos but negotiated down to 200. Take money from Uk change it at the change bureau there as they give better rate even etter than the ATM.

“ The beaches are a short walk with Copacabana having sunbeds, umbrellas for hire - 60 kuna and 30 kuna a day - but shingle. Access to the sea for swimming and a cafe on site. Hotel pool is spacious and not busy when we visited from 2 to 9 September. Plenty of sunbeds available and refreshments at the pool. Large decking area.

Hotel is a good 3 star but seemed to be a one night stop for coach tours rather than long stay guests but that perhaps created the under use of the pool by day.

Breakfasts were good with plenty of variety from cereal and eggs to cakes and fruit. However it was exactly the same every day even down to the cakes.

Rooms were clean and the chambermaids did a great job with preparation of the rooms each day.

Staff were helpful and friendly and overall we found the hotel to be good value for money when compared to Dubrovnik prices for four star hotels.

Although the hotel is a little way out from the old city it is served by the No 6 bus with tickets purchased at the hotel shop for 10 kuna, it's 12 if bought on the bus. Runs every 10 minutes from early morning to 2am. Bus stops outside hotel.

How long do you spend in your room on holiday? No need to spend more on expensive hotels - keep it for eating out! Search out the Riveline restaurant by the harbour which is up a level from the quayside- look for some trees bordering a terrace - and has a terrace overlooking the harbour and city walls. Perfect location, extensive menu and very competitive prices. Most important the food and service was excellent. Don't miss it!!

Avoid the restaurants on the main street- the Stradun - expensive and food is very average.

Dubrovnik is a beautiful city and not to be missed but it is on the cruise ship stopping route so can be very busy and hot when the boats are in.

“ The hotel was rated as a three star, but we thought it should nearer a four star hotel. The food was excelent, the pool was great The staff were excelent.

“ This hotel was so clean and friendly. We went for bed and breakfast. The room was immaculate and the breakfast excellent plenty of choice and so fresh every morning. All the staff on reception, in the restaurant and the cleaning staff were so friendly and extremely helpful.

“ Top Tip: Cava beach was wonderful. Great place to sit and sunbathe with a lovely little beach bar.
