“ This was our first visit to Croatia following lots of recommendations and we were not disappointed. The hotel was absolutely superb. The staff were very friendly and helpful and welcomming. They could speak excellent English, even though most of the guests were German, Austrian and Italian. The highlight has to be the food. Both breakfast and dinner are buffet style but the variety and quality would be hard to beat. Breakfast had everything one can imagine including full English. Dinner consisted of cold and hot dishes, some of which were cooked by chefs and each evening, the range of dishes was different with some themed evenings. The rooms and room service were excellent with rooms cleaned and bedding and towels changed each day if required. The hotel and outside areas and beautiful gardens were kept extremely neat and clean including the pool, both indoor and outside. Entertainment was shared between this hotel and its neighbour, the Crystal and was good. The location of this hotel is superb with a nice 25 minute stroll into Porec. We will defintely be back again.
“ Top Tip: We were persuaded into a boat trip by a salesman near the beach and we were so glad we did. It was with the Christina boat line to Rovinj, with a visit to the Lim canal, Vsar beach and lunch on the boat before stopping for a couple of hours in beautiful Rovinj. Opt for the meat option for lunch unless you like mackerel full of bones! The trip was a full day and was great fun and excellent value for money.

“ very clean comfortable hotel in a good central location. bit of a circus at meal times--it would look like the 600 or so guests had not eaten for a decade and were immune to any form of manners; a bit like some ranch out in outer Texas with a tribe hill-billies; we would suggest the hotel could help avoid the push and shove by maybe extending the opening times, and, unless you were queuing early for the food you could pretty much forget eating the better choices--particularly the sweets as they were long gone; like I think Paul Daniels waved a wand and they were all gone in one sweep; on the plus side it was good food & good very reasonably priced wine. .
“ Top Tip: Croatia is a big deal, lots of activities particularly if you like sun-bathing in the flesh—so take plenty of lotion or risk standing whilst eating & sleeping and forget the cycling until things start to settle

“ The hotel was in a good location, 20 minutes walk to Porec and not far from the sea although the beaches were concrete beaches. The room we had was very comfortable with a balcony and sea view and was cleaned every day. The hotel had excellent facilities including an outdoor and indoor pool, a gym, sauna and a wellness centre. We went half board and found the food was generally good with an extensive buffet for both breakfast and evening meal. However they don't have much experience of vegetarian food and were given an awful pack lunch one day which they did apologise for. On the whole we had a pleasant stay and found most of the staff friendly and helpful. There was a problem with the hotel's air conditioning when we arrived but was sorted out after a few days.
