I must admit that after reading all the bed reviews I was a bit confused as they put me off a bit. To my big surprise everything changed as soon as I arrived to Punta Verudela resort and could see everything myself. From my point of view Verudela is a great place to be! And I think I am a pretty fussy customer. However all within a reason...
Overall I found Verudela resort a very pleasant place to stay with a plenty of nice spots to discover on the site. Attractions include water sports, biking &walks in the local forest and along the seaside.
The resort is very well mantained and clean. I think there's not enough info about local attractions though (at the resort's reception and at the airport). When i first arrived to the reception i found staff very polite, nice and helpful..though I was missing some extra info about what&how but I believe this is sth u'd rather expect from a travel REP not a receptionist ;)
The resort felt very safe but was quite noisy at times ( loud music at the swimming pool that could be heard inside my aptment which was more than 2 blocks away)
I also found it annoying that there was not enough supply of soap and toilet rolls for the whole 7 days stay (not even mentioning the washing up liquid which wasn't there at all) and that rubbish bins weren't emptied even once.
Otherwise, a very nice and spacious aptment, with lovely views over the bay and easy (2 mins away) access to the beach. It's also close to the bus stop (5 mins walk-just outside the resort's entrance) with buses leaving for Pula center every 20 mins, which was very convenient for myself as I didn't have a car.
I really enjoyed staying at Verudela and would highly recommend it

Top Tip:
my apartment was self-catering so before u go, get urself things like: washing up liquid (a kitchenette is very well equipped so u don't have to worry about pans and cutlery, even a bottle opener and wine opener was there ;)), salt, sugar, tea towels, tea and coffee
u have a bike rental on the site, also tennis courts etc so pack ur sport shoes if u wish to be active ;) I also recommend the local area for jogging.
Walk around the whole Verudela place and explore the area, including local attractions like the Canion.
Take a bus to Rovinj and to Premantura (i think no 28 from Pula bus station). In Premantura we rented bikes(50 kun per day) and went for a trip around Premantura with its lovely beaches( a variety of pebbles, rocks and cliffs), also don't miss an amazing place called Safari bar!

Was a very basic accommodation, the room was clean and a moderate size. However all the apartments have NO air conditioning, even in late august this was a massive disappointment and a problem. The apartments also are very 'do it yourself' the towels do not get changed, there is a washing machine downstairs so you wash them yourselves, the apartment doesn't get cleaned and only basic food equipment is produced.
The hotel it self is very busy all of the time,
The entertainment is fine, but not many english speaking around the hotel.
“ Top Tip: The hotel up the road has good watersports and a much nicer beach, order the radler grapefruit beer becuase it is very yummy. Make sure you take a bus into the town and check out the ampi-theatre, take your student card if you have one as you can get discounts! The sun loungers you have to pay for, the slide you have to pay for so you dont really get anything for your money.the on site super market is very expensive around £10 for a big pot of coffee, and food is over-priced so that means a bus trip to the lidl which isn't close is vital to not spend an fortune on basic food to cook.

“ Top Tip: Day and Night bar is a 5 minute walk and is great for food, drinks, cocktails and coffees.... plus the staff and atmosphere is very inviting.

“ Top Tip: If you take any of the day trips into Slovenia it is worth knowing that they are in the EU and therefore you need Euros if you want to buy anything!

“ The room was above the main pedestrian street in the shopping area of the complex so at times it was quite noisy - the shower didn't drain properly.
“ Top Tip: Great restaurant just outside the holiday village - think it was called day and night bistro.
