Location
This hotel is located at the heart of Havana, in the famous corner of 23 and L, at the start of La Rampa, the centre for the most important ministries, the University of Havana and a range of nightlife and entertainment venues. Located in the Vedado, just 500 m from the Malecon Habanero, this hotel lies within a few paces of the city that has been a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1982. Guests are offered direct access to the most significant sites throughout the city and it is approximately 12 km to the nearest beach and 15 km to the airport.
Activities
Leisure facilities include a swimming pool around which sun loungers and parasols have been laid out ready for use. It is possible to play billiards and guests may also enjoy the best cocktails and a variety of live shows by the Cuban orchestra.

“ The hotel reception is lovely and our room was very big, with 2 double beds and a sea view. The room was a little on the worn side, but you have to expect this to a degree in Cuba (which is a fantastic country - head to Trinidad for beautiful village and beach!). The room was clean and the bathroom ample sized and also clean. The breakfast in the hotel was fabulous - one of the best buffet breakfasts I have experienced. Waffles and omlettes were prepared freshly before you and there was a mix of cereals, pastries, hot food (sausages, eggs, bacon, rice, chicken, beans), a number of types of bread, fruit, etc. Plenty of choice for everyone. The pool area was lovely and the service impeccable. The reception desk left a lot to be desired, but eventually served its purpose for check in and out and changing money - just don't go in a hurry! The hotel is not ideally located - its a CUC5 taxi ride to "Old Havana" where all the sites and restaurants/bars are. It is in Vedado, which, as far as we experienced, didn't have too much to do in it, but we strolled through central and into old town in about half an hour (wouldn't recommend doing at night though). We may have missed something though, as the guide books we had seemed to indicate that there was a plethora of restaurants and bars! If you like salsa, a night in the Casa de la Music is a must! We had a fab time.
“ Top Tip: We spent 4 days in Havana and 4 days in Trinidad on the south coast. Trinidad is wonderful - a quaint village with cobbled streets and not far from the beautiful beach of Playa Ancon. From people we had met, this was a more "Cuban" lest touristy beach option to Varadero. We loved it and also loved Havana!

“ The room wasnt the cleanest ive been in, don't think they have heard of a hoover! But the room was nice and big and had all the ammenites expected, the fridge was very useful! The shower was nice and powerful but the sink had trouble draining. We were on the 11th floor so the views were great of the sun setting! The lobby of the hotel was nice and there were a couple of bars and restuarants. We did have to ask for more toliet roll 4 times though!! There was lots of choice at the buffet style breakfast and the pool was nice!
“ Top Tip: For good views of the city, head to the nightclub on the 25th floor of the hotel.

“ Fabulous hotel - the best in Havana. Excellent location. I stayed in the new building and the bedroom was totally luxurious, and very quiet. Double doors to the corridors so you can't hear any noise from the corridors - or from other rooms.

The magnificent Hotel Deauville is located on the popular Malecon of Havana, a mere five minutes from the old town which emanates a traditional Cuban vibe. On the top floors of the hotel, you can behold gorgeous city views from the pool. The hotel has a buffet restaurant, two bars as well as a disco. This property is perfect for couples and families alike, and is only 20 km from the beach and 15 km from the airport.
“ A generally dirty hotel. Urine stains on the "cleaned" toilet and dirty sheets. Consider to take out of your portfolio.

Situé dans le centre historique de La Havane, entourés par le Grand Théâtre et le Capitole. Toutes les chambres ont la vue sur Central Park. Les immeubles sont d'inspiration baroque.
“ The hotel was excellent as it was my daughters 40th birthday the day we arrived In Havana so they upgraded her room and she had a big room with a view of the Main square the hotel was a good location right in the heart of things as this is The 3rd time that I have been to Havana this is best hotel and I would go back Again and would fully recomend this hotel to any one esle

“ One to avoid: don't let the classic 1909 exterior and rose-coloured reception fool you, underneath the skin there's nothing to like here. Small rooms, rude staff, poor services, bad breakfast, naff food, awful shower (a hose is a more accurate description), tiny bed, old and dusty linen.
