“ Service and food was bad but location great and beauiful.
Swimming Pool green shame.

“ The service could have been better at this hotel, many of the staff seemed harassed and were not very smily despite concerted attempts to illicit a smile from them. Possiblt due to the fact that many people were only staying one or two nights as part of a tour of the island, so therefore not much opportunity for either staff or guests to build rapport, and make friends. The position was the best thing about the hotel, fantastic views. Whilst we were there the peace and tranquility were spoilt by the builders working on an extension to the outside bar by the swimming pool, cement mixer going all day long. The swimming pool water was also filthy, and the clenliness was not helped by the builders dipping their cement soiled buckets in the pool to collect water for the mixer. Their also appeared to be no automatic filtration system, so the water was not therefore costantly filtered. The state of the pool therefore rendered swimming most uninviting, and unhygeinic. There was also a problem with mosquitos in the rooms which would benefit from mosquito blinds and deterants.

“ Top Tip: The Cultural centre in Vinales was quite a hub in the evenings with many of the local characters getting the pretty young visiting females up to practice their Salsa moves, and also some of the not so young, not quite so pretty ones as well I might say, there was little discrimination as long as you were female and able bodied, tapping of the foot was sufficient positive sign that you needed to get up. By the end of the evening you might be left with the feeling that you were wasting your money on the Gym.
