We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which was spacious but not part of the main hotel complex but it did have its own private pool area and bar but you still use all the facilities of the main complex. You could not fault the cleaning staff; this was daily with clean sheets and towels. There were plenty of sunbeds available around the large pool (which was excellent) and beach towels were also provided and could be changed 3 times a week. The hotel is situated right by the best beach in Ayia Napa with its own path down to it. There was a wide selection of food at breakfast and the pool snack bar served excellent quality food overlooking the beach. For those needing a late check-out the facilities provided for showering/changing were poor. It was almost exclusively Russian guests at the hotel.

Top Tip: Restaurants that you must try are The Limelight, Los Bandidos and Nikitas. Beers ranged in price from 2 euros to 4 euros. Waterpark is a must. For the best cocktails see Panicos at The Napa Mermaid Hotel. A bus trip to Protaras is good value at 1 euro each but if you return on the bus after 11pm this goes up to 2 euros 50 cents each. If you can afford it it is well worth having a private transfer to/from the airport, it is only a 35 minute transfer a lot less hassle than the coaches and you get to the airport before the rush! The taxi service used booked through Travel Republic (East Coast Taxis) were prompt and friendly.

Our third visit to this hotel, excellent in every way, on the edge of the beach with large pool area.
Only stay bed & breakfast, but selection for breakfast fantastic, other guests have commented that the lunches & dinners are very good.
Would not hesitate in recommending the Melissi Beach,

Top Tip: Clarabels flambe restaurant in the town - fantastic.
basically the majority of guests are Russian or German, but not a problem for us.

Melissi Beach is an amazing hotel, not many English but we didn't mind that.
Major downside - after travelling and arriving by taxi to the hotel, we were told they were overbooked and had booked us into another hotel. Not what you need after your journey, the alternative hotel was very basic and not where we would generally stay, we have been holidaying in Cyprus for almost twenty years and are very fussy re. our accommodation, we were not impressed at unpacking for one night and re-packing the next morning. We did not let this spoil our holiday but were very upset that this could happen.

Top Tip: Clarabels flambe restaurant - excellent.
