Frixos Suites Hotel and Apartments

“ This is a really lovely family run hotel apartments. It has been recently renovated and the rooms are lovely. The pool area is georgeous. The owners and staff are very helpful and friendly. The breakfast is great, lots to chose from. The beach is very close. I would definately recommend the frixos to anyone wanting a nice relaxing holiday.

“ Top Tip: Hire a car for a few days and drive to the mountains.

“ Hotel is lovely, all new top quality products used. everywhere is spotless. Although NO Gym sauna, steam bath and a range of other facilities as advertised, also NO Table tennis, Very disappointed about this, My Daughter was looking forward to using the Gym etc;.
We had all spent 1 whole month in Liopertre near Ayia Napa and got lovely tans with No bites at all, the first night we spent at this hotel we awoke with over 30 bites each we got fed up counting. We had all got lovely tans but arrived home looking like we had chicken pots.

“ Top Tip: Shop next door is so cheap for all gifts and beach items, you won't find cheaper anywhere. First supermarket across the road is expensive walk the extra 100m to the next one, it is a lot cheaper.

“ Luckily we only booked to stay in this hotel for a couple of nights before moving on, we arrived late at night & ordered a cot to be in the room for our 8 month old baby & there was no cot, my partner was sent down to the basement to collect a dirty shabby ripped travel cot himself. The room was very dirty & full of cobwebs, the furniture was cheap 1970's worn & stained, the bathroom ceiling was collapsing & you couldn't see yourself in the dress mirror as it was that dirty, the beds were extremely uncomfortable & the pillows were like concrete. The swimming pool was just about clean enough to swim in. We decided not to eat in the hotel so can't comment on the food. We did take a pot of tea to the room & were told to make sure we brought the tray back! We understand the whole hotel is due to be renovated at the end of 2010/2011 but at the moment it should definitely not be rated a 3 star by any standards, we would be extremely generous on giving it any star at all!

“ Hotel Frixos was shabby. It looked as though some work had been done in the apartments, but the upkeep thereafter was minimal. (No plugs foe either sink or bath). Whilst the apartment was not dirty, there were places best not looked at!!! (Under the bed springs to mind).
The bed linen was changed once during our stay and the towels quite regurlarly. The bins were emptied daily, and the apartment given a very brief sweep/mop out.
There was quite a bit of work going on in the hotel while we were there, pool maintenance, and recovering of the roof of the outside bar area. If this work carries on to the inside of the hotel and with more attention to detail in the cleaning and upkeep of the rooms, then the hotel would be in a better place.
