The reason I did not tick suitable for younger people was because there were very limited activities on offer for my son who is fifteen years old. Although there were two table tennis competitions planned on the activities sheet the first one got cancelled as not enough young people turned up and the second one was cancelled due to poor weather outside. My son was not permitted to enter into the gym as he was under sixteen years old - even though he has already been doing cardiovascular machines at school for more than a year under instruction. There could have been some flexibility on this issue. Basically there was no entertainment for my son organised throughout our stay and there was no billiards table or any other kind of games inside the hotel for entertainment. Despite the hotel providing some sports channels unfortunately these channels were with interference that spoiled viewing that was never rectified throughout our stay despite reporting this issue more than once.
There was limited entertainment in the hotel on a couple of nights that was with a singer in the bar, and once in the restaurant on Valentine's night, but otherwise there was nothing. We are not aware of any good restaurants in close proximity to the hotel and the only entertainment we did was walking to bowling on a couple of occasions along the beach.
It was disappointing that the chef that was previously at the hotel has left to join another hotel, so the food on offer has changed dramatically. Very limited food was on offer at lunch times and dinner times. The buffet breakfast had a good selection. However the evening set menu that previously was a gastronomic experience was spoilt by frozen poor quality fish and too much salt in the food that many occasions was inedible. The Staff were kind and helpful and did try to give alternatives to help us be able to eat something.
We did stay in newly refurbished rooms on the fourth floor, but were surprised and upset to be disturbed by drilling and hammering from 9am. This we later found out whilst using the stairwell was because the whole second floor is being renovated - without anybody saying a word. I would have preferred knowing about these works before booking and at least to be able to have till 11am to get out and about before noisy drilling and hammering commenced that was inconsidereate to the clients staying in the hotel. The first floor was kept in darkness to save money as no clients were put on this floor - although the housekeeping department was still operating on this floor despite the darkness.
Unfortunately due to technical difficulties with or aeroplane - we were delayed travelling from the UK and did not arrive till Sunday 23.30pm that effectively made us lose two days of our vacation. Unfortunately the best weather of the week had been on Saturday and Sunday that also was upsetting and we have to try to claim compensation for these lost days that were paid for in advance. Although I could participate in the aquafit at the hotel, I was advised that the aerobics would be too difficult for me as well as other classes. Do not know why there was no suitable classes for beginners/intermediate in the gym and all classes were advanced level - that were not suitable for all that limited the activities adults could do as well in poor weather inside the hotel.
“ Top Tip: There was a beach restaurant nearby to the hotel that we noticed on Valentines day had made the effort to create two giant hearts with pebble stones and candles with an arrow through one and a sign for a man and woman in the other that was special and romantic although we have no idea what the food was like in the restaurant as we never tried it but we did appreciate the artistic efforts of the restaurant for all to see.

“ Arrived late 11.30pm and only one receptionist who was busy but polite and very good at accommodating us and directing us to our room which was generously upgraded to a sea view suite. Drinks and half bottle of wine awaiting in our room with basket of fruit. Lovely clean room just a small stain on the bed sheet however the bedding was changed daily and the matter rectified the following day. The Hotel staff I must say were extremely pleasant and helpful and the late night room service very good the village salad was exceptional however the following afternoon the same salad was ordered but I found a large hair inside and the lettuce and tomatoes not as the same standard as the evening. Apart from those small matters the Hotel was very clean and maintained the gym equipment of superior quality and the indoor pool brilliant. There was only one restaurant open due to being out of season but the food quality was excellent and the service the same. Overall I would definitely stay here again and would think it difficult to find a better hotel. Very good value for money.
“ Top Tip: There was a nice local Greek restaurant towards old Limassol a short 5 minute stroll from the Hotel along the B6 road which had nice food and live music. Traditional Greek food and the Manager full of character.

“ A fantastic hotel with very professional staff. Our room was superb and the bed was massive. The food is of a very high standard and, having stayed in a number of hotels in Limassol, this is by far the best my family has stayed in.
“ Top Tip: Columbia Plaza Steak House.

The superior room was the best we have experienced - spacious, with balcony overlooking the gardens and beach and equipped with everything one could need.
The staff are excellent and courteous.
But as one of the leading hotels in the world, it falls down with a poor restaurant and neglect of the gardens.
The wide range of treatments in the spa are at exhorbitant prices - three times higher than we pay in the UK and double many London hotel prices.
“
Top Tip:
There is a choice of excellent restaurants within 200 metres of the hotel. There are many offering local and superb seafood and one very good Italian restaurant.
The hotel location is excelent: there is a brick path and boardwalk along the beach which extends for miles.
Interesting ruins of a Roman town are within walking distance.
