We read about this hotel on Trip Adviser - some of the comments were not very complimentary and we were full of trepidation as we left for our holiday. After spending a week there let me reassure you, there is nothing wrong with this hotel. It was as clean as possible - but did suffer from being near a dusty road (much of Cyprus is dusty). The staff were friendly and very welcoming - nothing was too much trouble. We arrived in the early hours of the morning, and were immediately offered a drink. The pool was lovely, the gardens a delight - special mention to the poolside waiter who would go out of his way to please you, and never stopped smiling. We stayed half board and the food was perfectly fine. It wasn't five star - but we didn't pay five star prices. It was plentiful and wholesome - nothing like what I had read in reviews. Go with an open mind and you will not be disappointed. If you want five star - book a five star hotel!!!!!!! We did hear some complaints - but I'm afraid those people had very high expectations and were not realistic about the price they had paid.
Only drawback was that the hotel is on a busy road. We had a roadside apartment and the traffic was constant throughout the night.

Top Tip: Don't be afraid to use the pathway next to the beach at nighttime. We went for a walk during the evenings and were greeted by many Cypriot families using the path - most of them would want to say "hello" or "good evening".
Number 30 bus stops very close by and a return into old Limassol is only 2 Euro's
Brilliant supermarket/bakery further up the same road as the hotel called "Papa's". much cheaper than the beach side supermarkets.

The room was a bit tired and in need of refurbishment. It was on the front of the hotel overlooking a busy road and so the balcony ( which was very small) was a no go really. The pool area was nice. Staff were friendly. The hotel is situated aprrox 3 miles from the old town area.To get to the beach you have to cross a seriously busy main road. The old town and harbour are under major reconstruction at the moment (Sept 2011) and they are literally a building site. This, to my understanding is going on for some years.

Top Tip: There is a good taverna next to the hotel.

Hotel improvements have been made since our visit in 2004, nevertheless it would have been nice to have had our bed sheets and bathroom towels changed at least once during our 10 day stay (i'm sure they would have been should we have asked). On the plus side our bin was emptied and the floors mopped daily.

The hotel is clean and the staff are helpful while the pool bar serves decent food and drinks - the pool itself is cool, clean and inviting.

The hotel is situated close to the beach, shops, restaurants and bars, talking of which if you like your football the Woodman pub (5 minute walk) shows every Premier League match (12 screens at my last count). The local beer (Keo) is cold, moorish and the food is relatively cheap compared to other bars.

If your on a budget the Jasmine hotel is for you. Trust me, as i've stayed in cheaper accommodation in Limassol which has been truly awful.

Top Tip: The Woodman Pub (5 minutes walk). Directions - turn right out of the hotel and then left at the crossroads. Keep walking and the pub is on the left.

Ive been here twice both times for a week and its just what i need. Nothing fancy but very suitable for an economical and relaxing time. You can tell that the staff really take care of the hotel and the rooms as you dont see damages or anything dirty. I have tried some other hotels nearby but they are not like Jasmine which is well known and have a real high reputation especially in the UK. The price is probably the best and cheapest hotel for such large rooms and great service (booked through internet of course). IT IS actually a 4-star hotel.
Only negatives I have found were that their appliances such as kettle, hair dryer, toaster and television are quite old and could be upgraded with new ones.
Oh and just like every other hotel the food is quite expensive.

Top Tip: Youre right in the middle of the Limassol strip so you can go to the cafes, stores and restaurants or even a walk on the beach by foot. A large supermarket AlfaMega with great prices is located on the strips next traffic lights making a right turn once you pass Holiday Inn and will need at least 10 minutes by foot as it is a bit deep straight down that road. Also the hotels pool is well-taken care of - clean and clear.

Most recent booking for this hotel was 06/02/2012 at 21:54

At Kanika Pantheon both the business traveller and the holidaymaker enjoy easy access to all that Limassol has to offer. The hotel is situated in a prime location with downtown Limassol on one side, the tourist zone on the other, and the beach only 50 metres away. Renovated and extended in 2003, the hotel ranks as a 3-star superior hotel offering 4-star facilities. Whether you are here on holiday or business, the rooms are all designed and decorated to offer maximum comfort. In the spacious restaurant overlooking the swimming pool and the hotel gardens you will enjoy an exceptional gastronomic experience with international and local specialities accompanied with a rich list of superior local and imported wines. The new cosy Lido Tavern serves à la carte dishes as well as hot and cold lunch buffets in an irresistible traditional Cypriot setting.

This is a very good hotel, centrally located and near a good beach. Service was always first class and a good buffet every night. We had a first floor room with pool view. These rooms are larger than others and have a balcony with ample room for table, chairs and two sun beds. The hotel was clean and rooms kept spotless. Not a beach hotel as such. Highly recommended

 3 Star Hotel

Customer rating from 24 reviews: 6.9 Above Average

This modern, air-conditioned 5-storey hotel comprises 200 rooms and features a pleasant foyer with a 24-hour reception desk, a lift, a hairdresser's salon, a bar, a public Internet terminal and an air-conditioned e la carte restaurant. Room and laundry services are available and those arriving by car may make use of the car park and garage facilities. Younger guests may let off steam in the playground.

The Arsinoe, is a budget hotel that is run on a very tight budget by the management. It has had a slight refurbishment since I last stayed but to be fair it only painted over the cracks. I have stayed at this hotel over 15 times covering almost 10 years and have to say that this visit was the last.
